MAGNOTHERM Solutions was founded in 2019 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Darmstadt. It is a dynamic deep-tech company with world-leading expertise in Magnetic Cooling and magnetocaloric materials. Through intensive research and a patented process, the international team has been the first company worldwide to successfully bring magnetocaloric technology to market maturity. The central advantage of Magnetic Cooling compared to conventional cooling technologies is the complete elimination of harmful refrigerants. MAGNOTHERM offers this safe, clean, and sustainable cooling technology for commercial refrigeration, with additional systems for data centre, building, and industrial cooling already in development. Moreover, MAGNOTHERM’s Magnetic Cooling is being used in Europe’s first pilot plant for decentralized hydrogen liquefaction.
