Master Scheduler

Compensation
$100,000–$125,000/year

Job Description

About Machina Labs:

Engineering moves at software speed. Manufacturing doesn't. Yet.

Machina Labs is changing that. We build intelligent, software-defined factories that produce complex metal structures directly from digital design. By integrating advanced metal forming, robotics, and automated production inside a flexible factory architecture, we enable customers to move from prototype to production in weeks, not years.

Backed by Lockheed Martin, Toyota, and NVIDIA, we're building the manufacturing infrastructure that defense, aerospace, and advanced mobility programs will run on.

If you want to work on hard problems that matter and see them fly, drive, and defend, this is the place.

 Job Description:

The Master Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating production schedules across Machina Labs’ advanced manufacturing operations. This role will work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams to ensure work is properly sequenced, resources are aligned, and programs remain on track for on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with shifting priorities. This individual will schedule and coordinate work across multiple production centers, including robotic forming cells, welding, post-processing, outside processing, inspection, and shipping. Success in this role requires a strong sense of urgency, clear communication, disciplined follow-up, and the ability to identify schedule risks before they impact project health.

This position requires access to information controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations, or ITAR, or the Export Administration Regulations, or EAR. The successful candidate must meet the U.S. person requirements as defined by ITAR and EAR regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and communicate the master production schedule across multiple manufacturing work centers.
  • Coordinate scheduling for robotic forming cells, welding, post-processing, outside processing, inspection, and shipping activities.
  • Partner with Engineering and Production teams to translate project requirements, routings, travelers, and technical priorities into executable schedules.
  • Monitor project health, schedule adherence, production constraints, and critical path items.
  • Identify schedule risks, resource conflicts, material shortages, outside processing delays, and bottlenecks before they impact delivery.
  • Drive clear daily and weekly communication across Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management.
  • Support production readiness by ensuring materials, drawings, travelers, tooling, fixtures, outside processing requirements, and inspection needs are aligned with scheduled work.
  • Maintain accurate production schedules in MRP, ERP, or scheduling systems.
  • Track work order status, completion dates, handoffs, and schedule changes.
  • Facilitate production meetings, schedule reviews, and priority alignment discussions.
  • Escalate risks and schedule conflicts with urgency and provide recommended recovery options.
  • Coordinate with outside processors and shipping teams to support customer delivery dates.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to scheduling accuracy, production flow, lead-time reduction, and on-time delivery.
  • Maintain disciplined documentation and status reporting to ensure visibility across the organization.
  •

Basic Qualifications:

  •  U.S. person status as required by ITAR/EAR.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, master scheduling, production control, manufacturing planning, or a similar role.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, defense, automotive, or advanced hardware production environment.
  • Strong understanding of production flow, work centers, routings, travelers, material availability, and manufacturing constraints.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with changing program needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly align Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management teams.
  • Experience using MRP, ERP, MES, or production scheduling systems.
  • High attention to detail and strong follow-through.
  • Ability to identify schedule risk, escalate issues, and support recovery planning.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an aerospace, defense, space, or advanced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting AS9100 or ISO9001 manufacturing operations.
  • Familiarity with robotic manufacturing, welding, forming, machining, post-processing, inspection, or outside processing workflows.
  • Experience with job shop, low-rate production, prototype, or high-mix manufacturing environments.
  • Experience supporting complex hardware programs with aggressive delivery timelines.
  • Familiarity with material planning, production control, inventory coordination, and logistics.
  • Experience using NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, JobBOSS, Epicor, or similar MRP/ERP systems.
  • Lean manufacturing experience, including visual management, production boards, 5S, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience building schedule reports, dashboards, or recovery plans.
  • *This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this role. Duties and responsibilities may change based on business needs.

    Physical/Work Environment:

  • Work in both office and manufacturing floor environments.
  • Ability to spend time on the production floor coordinating with operators, technicians, engineers, and production leads.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend support may be required based on program need.
  • Must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced, deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Key Attributes:

  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Clear and direct communicator.
  • Organized and disciplined.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Comfortable escalating issues early.
  • Able to balance engineering priorities with production realities.
  • Focused on project health, schedule integrity, and on-time delivery.
