Licensing & Credentialing Coordinator

Thyme CareRemoteFull Time

Job Description

OUR MISSION

We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.

Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person’s cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.

As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help care teams focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.

Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you’re inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what’s possible, we’d love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a License & Credentialing Coordinator, you’ll help power our provider licensing and credentialing operations from end to end. You’ll keep things moving, accurate, and compliant as we grow.

  • Support the full credentialing lifecycle—from initial applications to renewals and ongoing maintenance

  • Track, resolve, and follow up on credentialing and licensing requirements

  • Manage provider enrollment processes with payers, including application submission, follow-up, and status tracking to ensure timely credentialing and network participation

  • Keep provider records up to date, organized, and audit-ready

  • Monitor application and licensing status, ensuring accuracy across systems

  • Conduct primary source verification for provider credentials

  • Respond quickly to internal and external credentialing requests

  • Partner closely with clinical teams and external stakeholders to keep everything on track

  • Jump in on credentialing questions and help unblock issues

  • Ensure everything meets regulatory and compliance standards

  • Help make sure documentation is collected and processed on time

WHAT YOU’VE DONE

This role reports to our Licensing & Credentialing Manager and can be remote or hybrid based in our New York City or Nashville offices.

Within your first three months, you will:

  • Complete training and are up to speed on Thyme Care’s systems (Mac, gSuite), tools, technology, partners, and clinical expectations

  • Be proficient in managing the credentialing and licensing process for new and existing providers.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate provider application files, ensuring all credentialing statuses and supporting documents are well-organized and up-to-date.

  • Build strong, transparent working relationships with both provider teams and external partners to streamline credentialing processes.

  • Address questions and concerns related to credentialing with confidence and professionalism.

  • Consistently ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, company policies, and procedural guidelines.

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

  • People-first. Thyme Care’s mission and members matter to you, deeply.

  • Experience. Three (3) years work experience in licensing and credential services, accreditation and/or related field required. Working knowledge of provider licensing, credentialing, accreditation policies and related state/federal regulations is required. Provider enrollment is a plus. It would be exceptional if you have worked at a startup or tech-forward company.

  • Organized. You’re skilled in juggling multiple tasks and working under pressure without sacrificing organization in your communications and documentation.

  • Effective listener and communicator. You are winsome and articulate, but you always start with listening and you hear what may not be voiced, because you listen so intently to others. You build rapport and great working relationships with members and colleagues.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. Start-ups are fast-paced environments, and you understand that rapid changes to the business, strategy, organization, and priorities are par for the course… and part of the adventure.

  • A desire to learn how to use new technologies. We are a technology company focused on interacting with folks during the season where they need it most. Experience with video chatting, Google Suite, Slack, electronic health records or comfort using and learning new technology is important.

  • Identify priorities and take action. You know how to identify and prioritize a member's needs, and do what it takes to ensure that urgent and important needs are addressed immediately.
