Job Description
The Basics:
Tanium is looking for an excellent strategic thinker and influential change-agent to drive strategy, scalability, and efficiency in the Global Sales Organization. This is a highly visible role supporting accelerated growth — the right candidate must have the ability to influence at all levels across Sales, Presales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Finance.
This person must be an analytical and critical thinker, a proactive problem solver, a curious deep diver, and a clear communicator. They must be able to roll up their sleeves and work directly with data, while keeping the bigger picture in mind when sharing conclusions and narratives with the business. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, independent, confident presenting to groups, and naturally inquisitive. This person will maintain strategic alignment with sales and operations leadership, provide value-add business insights, and build programs and efficient processes that drive growth.
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
What you’ll do:
- Lead Tanium’s Revenue Cadence, running the revenue calls focused on forecasting, churn, and pipeline health
- Partner with the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and VP, GTM Operations on focus areas, global narrative, and talking points
- Leverage AI tools (including Claude, Clari AI, and emerging platforms) to derive actionable insights from pipeline, forecast, and performance data — proactively surfacing risks and opportunities before they are raised by leadership
- Serve as the subject matter expert on the Clari Platform
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted workflows across the Sales Operations team to accelerate analysis, automate routine reporting, and elevate the quality of CRO-level narratives
- Oversee end-of-quarter and end-of-year activities, including publishing sales performance metrics and key deal narratives
- Oversee the QBR cycle: Templates, schedules, data, and capture of insights and actions
- Maintain and publish attainment and performance results and reporting
- Create and manage global ad hoc reporting as necessary
- Participate in the cross-functional execution of go-to-market strategic fiscal year planning, including capacity planning, investment analysis, segmentation, territory design, and quota allocation
- Develop relationships and communicate effectively across all layers of the organization, from CxO to VPs to individual sales contributors
- Collaborate with Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources on sales-related projects as needed
We’re looking for someone with:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in an analytical role in Sales Operations, Business Operations, Customer Success, Business Development, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Claude, Notion, Salesforce, Excel, Clari, and PowerPoint required
- Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI tools into day-to-day analytical workflows; experience using large language models or AI-assisted platforms to accelerate insight generation and executive communications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to executives and large groups
- Experience working within a high-growth technology company
- Experience partnering directly with leaders at the VP level or above
