Founding Product Engineer

Planbase is building the AI-native operations layer that will power every modern clinic in the U.S.

We’re hiring founding product engineers to help build the infrastructure behind the next generation of B2B software. This is a high-ownership role: you’ll work directly with the founders to shape the product, the company, and the way healthcare and staffing operations are run.

You’ll be among the first employees at an early-stage startup, which means challenge, uncertainty, and opportunity. This role isn’t for everyone — to be a good fit, you need to be hungry to move build, break and push boundaries.

What you’ll do

• Ship fast, talk to customers, and build AI-powered features and workflows.
• Own product surfaces end-to-end — from backend logic and data models to frontend experience and UX details.
• Partner closely with founders to make product trade-offs and shape what gets built next.
• Help define engineering culture and grow the team.

What kind of person we’re looking for

• Strong product taste.
• High-energy, opinionated, and fun to work with.
• You must have experience building complex products to hit the ground running.
• You’ve built real products for real customers, not just internal tools, integrations or side projects.
• You move quickly but maintain a high bar for quality — and expect the same from those around you.
• You want to help build not just a product, but a company and a category-defining business.
• Visa required but open to O-1 visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates (e.g., top-20 university, publications, or press). If applicable, please mention how you meet these O-1 criteria in your application.
