Team Description:
The Logistics team manages the movement, tracking, and control of materials, equipment, and assets across the organization. We coordinate domestic and international shipping and receiving between company sites, external vendors, research partners, and clinical locations, supporting both day-to-day operations and time-critical investigational activities. The team maintains inventory accuracy through our ERP and inventory management systems for production parts and works closely with logistics brokers, carriers, and cross-functional partners including Supply Chain, Accounting, Engineering, and Quality. We also oversee robot and product transportation, end-of-life asset disposition, and offsite warehouse storage. Our role is to ensure materials, equipment, and critical resources are available where and when they are needed to support the company's research, development, and operational goals in compliance with all shipping and handling regulations (DG/IATA).
Job Description and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for supporting the day-to-day movement of materials, equipment, and shipments across the organization. This role coordinates domestic and international logistics activities, ensures the accurate receipt and distribution of goods, and supports critical operations related to manufacturing, research, clinical procedures, and robotic equipment movement. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Logistics Coordinator helps maintain efficient inventory and shipping processes while ensuring materials and equipment are available to support company objectives. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, reliability, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment. The Logistics Coordinator will:
- Process, package, and coordinate domestic and international shipments, including scheduling carrier pickups, preparing shipping documentation, and managing delivery timelines with third-party logistics providers.
- Support the movement of critical robotic systems, surgical supplies, investigational products, and participant-facing materials that directly enable research, manufacturing, and clinical operations.
- Receive, inspect, unload, and organize incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal procedures.
- Verify, upload, and maintain shipping documentation, packing slips, invoices, and inventory records with a high degree of accuracy.
- Manage inventory transactions and material movements within internal ERP and inventory management systems, maintaining traceability and inventory integrity.
- Maintain organized, safe, and efficient shipping, receiving, storage, and staging areas across operational spaces.
- Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Clinical Operations, and Lab Operations teams to support material movement and operational readiness.
- Coordinate inventory replenishment, storage, and distribution of robot components, consumables, tooling, and operational supplies.
- Utilize shipping platforms, warehouse systems, and inventory management tools to provide shipment visibility and maintain accurate logistics records.
- Support the planning, organization, and operation of logistics infrastructure within new and expanding facilities, including warehouse layouts, receiving processes, storage solutions, and material flow strategies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency by evaluating workflows, leveraging available resources, and implementing scalable logistics solutions.
- Assist in the creation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, work instructions, and logistics documentation.
- Support warehouse and inventory optimization initiatives, including asset tracking, storage utilization, inventory audits, and disposition of end-of-life equipment.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment in accordance with company safety requirements.
- Adapt quickly to changing priorities and evolving business needs while maintaining a high level of accuracy, urgency, and customer service.
- Contribute positively within a highly cross-functional startup environment, demonstrating ownership, resourcefulness, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to lift or move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to operate standard warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to multitask and adapt quickly in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with technical and operational teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management or logistics coordination.
- Experience supporting clinical, medical device, robotics, or highly regulated operations.
- Forklift certification.
- Familiarity with DOT and international shipping standards, dangerous goods shipping/ IATA.
- Experience with inventory management systems, ERP software, or third-party shipping platforms.
- Experience developing SOPs, documentation, or training materials.
- Demonstrated reliability, initiative, and problem-solving ability in hands-on environments.
- Comfort navigating ambiguity and evolving operational priorities in a startup setting
Additional Requirements and Competencies:
- While travel is not expected to be a regular requirement, occasional travel may be needed to support operational needs.
At Neuralink, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The anticipated hourly rate for this position is expected to be within the below range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
California Hourly Range:
$16.83 — $27.88/Hr USD
