
Job Description
Navan is seeking a highly motivated Treasury Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This role will support domestic and international cash management, banking operations, treasury compliance, financial controls, and foreign exchange activities.
In this role, you will assist with cash positioning and reporting; global bank account maintenance and compliance; FBAR reporting; SOX control reviews over bank users and authorized signers; bank management activities; and FX hedging support. You will work closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Product, our external banking partners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to maintain accurate treasury records and support the company's day-to-day liquidity and banking needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, high agency, and comfortable working in a high-growth environment where priorities can change quickly. They should be able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines while maintaining accurate documentation and strong controls.
The role will be based in our Palo Alto , San Francisco, or New York office and will report to the Treasury Manager.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain the global bank account management process, including account openings, account closures, Know Your Customer documentation, maintenance of existing accounts, and authorized signer and administrator updates.
- Perform treasury back-office activities, including wire transfers, inter-company funding, account transfers, and ad hoc payments.
- Assist in maintaining detailed cash flow forecasts to ensure optimal liquidity management, support strategic decision making, and perform recurring variance analysis between actuals and the forecast.
- Monitor and manage foreign currency exposures, assist in implementing appropriate hedging strategies.
- Assist in managing the company’s investment portfolio, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and risk tolerance.
- Maintain complete and accurate bank account records, signatory matrices, online banking access information, and supporting documentation.
- Support the annual FBAR reporting process by gathering and validating bank accounts, balances, and authorized signer information.
- Monitor bank account balances and support appropriate funding of accounts, payment providers, and payment platforms that support the company's lines of business.
- Support the ongoing management of Trovata, including bank account and transaction-data mapping, dashboard development and maintenance, and enhancements to cash visibility and treasury reporting.
- Serve as a point of contact to external banking representatives focused on account maintenance, service inquiries, and driving project velocity.
- Perform periodic SOX control reviews of bank portal users, access levels, administrators, and authorized signers; prepare audit evidence and follow up on required access or signer changes.
- Assist with quarterly and year-end audit schedules and other internal and external audit requests related to treasury operations and controls.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Product, Legal, and other cross-functional teams on treasury matters and support ad hoc treasury projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in treasury, finance, or a related function.
- Working knowledge of cash management, bank account administration, payments, and treasury operations.
- Experience using online banking platforms and processing or reviewing financial transactions.
- Exposure to FBAR reporting, SOX controls, bank user-access reviews, authorized signer reviews, or FX hedging is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with NetSuite or a treasury management system is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready documentation.
- Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
- Effective analytical, problem-solving, critical-thinking, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, resourceful, and collaborative approach to working in a fast-paced and a willingness to learn new skills.

For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period.
