Job Description
About Leap
Leap is one of the fastest-growing benefits solutions and a category-defining pioneer in employer specialty pharmacy. We are reshaping how life-changing therapies are delivered and financed, ensuring patients get the treatment they need while employers finally get a fair deal.
Specialty drugs and infusions represent nearly 10% of all healthcare spend and are the fastest-growing cost category for employers. Leap tackles this challenge with a novel approach: eliminating hidden markups, expanding access to high-quality infusion providers, and bringing clarity and fairness to how therapies are priced and paid for.
We’re proud to partner with numerous Fortune 500 companies and leading TPAs. Each patient we serve creates immediate ROI: lower costs, improved access, and better care. Join us as we redefine what’s possible in specialty care.
About the Role
Leap Health is building the infrastructure to define, capture, analyze, and report the clinical outcomes it is accountable for delivering through specialty infusion care — and this role owns a core piece of that build. The Clinical Outcomes Specialist will build and maintain Leap's outcomes measurement framework across adherence, safety, patient-reported outcomes, and disease-specific clinical measures. This individual will define methodologies, identify data sources, build measurement processes, and translate clinical data into evidence that demonstrates value to patients, employers, payers, and manufacturer partners.
This is a highly cross-functional builder role requiring comfort operating in ambiguity and creating processes where none currently exist. The role partners closely with Engineering on data capture and reporting infrastructure, Clinical Operations on workflow integration and patient engagement, and Manufacturer Partnerships and Client Success on external evidence generation and value demonstration.
Key Responsibilities
Outcomes & Safety Metric Framework
Build and maintain Leap's outcomes framework across adherence, safety, patient-reported outcomes, and disease-specific clinical measures.
Define metric definitions, denominator and numerator logic, inclusion criteria, calculation methods, and validity standards.
Align outcomes methodologies with recognized specialty pharmacy, home infusion, and quality measurement standards where appropriate (e.g., NHIA quality measures and other industry benchmarks).
Maintain clear documentation of metric definitions, methodology updates, and the rationale for changes over time.
Safety Surveillance & Quality Monitoring
Define and stand up Leap's safety event taxonomy and reporting approach across infusion reactions, treatment interruptions, escalation events, near-misses, and other clinically relevant incidents.
Own the clinical review and quality assurance process supporting accurate safety event capture from clinical documentation and operational workflows.
Produce recurring safety trend reports for clinical leadership, including root-cause themes, emerging risks, and recommendations for process improvement.
Adherence and Persistence Monitoring
Build patient-level adherence monitoring across therapies, conditions, and populations.
Define infusion-specific adherence methodology — persistence, schedule conformance, dose fidelity, treatment completion, and tolerability — rather than retail-pharmacy measures like PDC or MPR, which weren't built for HCP-administered infusion therapy.
Build a risk-flagging process that identifies patients at elevated risk for treatment interruption or discontinuation, incorporating signals such as missed infusions, delayed authorizations, site-of-care disruptions, and medication access barriers.
Partner with care teams to operationalize proactive outreach triggers for at-risk patients.
Patient-Reported Outcomes & Clinical Evidence Generation
Select, adapt, and implement validated patient-reported outcome instruments appropriate for specialty infusion populations where clinically appropriate.
Partner with Engineering and Clinical Operations to implement survey delivery workflows and structured response capture.
Analyze and interpret outcomes data to generate clinically defensible evidence of program impact.
Produce outcomes reporting and evidence packages supporting employer reporting, client QBRs, payer discussions, and manufacturer partnerships.
Qualifications
Required
3+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy, managed care, specialty therapeutics, home infusion, pharmaceutical outcomes, or specialty benefit management.
Direct experience with specialty disease states and specialty medication management.
Demonstrated experience contributing to or owning a clinical outcomes, adherence, quality, or safety measurement effort.
Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to define metrics, identify data sources, validate methodologies, and independently develop measurement approaches.
Experience interpreting and quality-assuring structured clinical data from an EHR, care management, or pharmacy system.
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and build process from first principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain methodologies and findings to both clinical and non-clinical audiences.
Preferred
PharmD, MPH, RN, or other relevant clinical or population health training.
Experience in home infusion or alternate site-of-care models.
Familiarity with specialty pharmacy and infusion quality benchmarks, including NHIA, URAC, and related quality frameworks.
Experience implementing or analyzing validated patient-reported outcome measures.
Population health analytics or healthcare outcomes experience.
Experience supporting payer, employer, or pharmaceutical manufacturer reporting.
Familiarity with healthcare analytics and reporting tools.
Working knowledge of biostatistical principles relevant to healthcare outcomes measurement.
