The Role
As the Manager of Business Systems at Capella, you will lead the strategy, optimization, and evolution of critical enterprise and manufacturing systems supporting a fast-growing aerospace technology organization. In this role, you will operate as both a Business Systems leader and Product Owner, driving initiatives focused on ERP platforms, enterprise integrations, operational workflows, and systems modernization across the organization.
You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Engineering, Finance, IT, and external vendors to improve how business systems and operational data interact across the enterprise. This role will support new systems implementations, integrations, workflow redesign initiatives, and future-state systems architecture efforts tied to the ongoing Console and data lake redesign.
The ideal candidate brings strong business process analysis capabilities, experience gathering and defining requirements, and the ability to bridge business stakeholders with technical teams to drive scalable operational solutions and improved systems interoperability.
This is a fully remote role with occasional travel requirements based on project and vendor needs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Product Owner and systems owner for critical enterprise and manufacturing platforms.
- Lead business requirements gathering efforts for new systems implementations, integrations, and workflow redesign initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, IT, and external vendors to align systems strategy with business needs.
- Support and improve integrations across ERP, CRM, finance, manufacturing, inventory, and operational systems.
- Support business workflows related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and operational data management.
- Help model and optimize future-state business workflows and enterprise systems interoperability.
- Translate operational and business requirements into actionable delivery plans and technical solutions.
- Support enterprise systems modernization, Console redesign, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 7+ years of experience in Business Systems, ERP systems, Enterprise Applications, or Business Analysis roles.
- Experience operating as a Product Owner, Business Systems Manager, Senior Business Systems Analyst, or Enterprise Applications lead.
- Strong understanding of enterprise business processes across finance, manufacturing, operations, and systems integrations.
- Experience supporting workflows related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and operational systems.
- Experience gathering business and technical requirements and translating them into scalable systems solutions.
- Ability to bridge business stakeholders and technical teams to improve operational efficiency and systems interoperability.
- Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within aerospace, satellite, defense, or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
- Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), including tools such as ION.
- Experience supporting enterprise systems modernization, data integration, or large-scale operational transformation initiatives.
Required Qualification
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Capella Employees must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce, as applicable. Compensation
The approximate base salary range for this position is $128,445 - $167,497. The total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a range of benefits available on our career site.
Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity. Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available. Our benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans, matching 401K, unlimited PTO and paid holidays, parental/adoption leave, legal insurance, and a home technology stipend. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided when a candidate receives an offer of employment.
