Our Team's Vision:

At Illumio, our Professional Services team plays a critical role in helping customers successfully deploy, adopt, and realize value from Illumio’s Zero Trust Segmentation platform. We partner closely with customers and internal teams to deliver secure, scalable, and thoughtfully designed solutions that reduce risk and enable business resilience.


Your Impact:

As a Senior Professional Services Specialist, you are a fully qualified, experienced professional operating at the journeyman level. You work independently on customer deployments and problem resolution while collaborating with senior team members on more complex architectural considerations.
In this role, you will:

  • Design and implement Illumio’s product for basic customer installations, applying a complete understanding of product capabilities, deployment models, and best practices

  • Assess and resolve a wide range of customer issues related to deployment, configuration, and policy using advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques

  • Diagnose unusual or ambiguous situations, identify root causes, and develop creative, effective solutions—even when precedent or documentation is limited

  • Evaluate risk, implications, and trade-offs when selecting the appropriate course of action, exercising sound judgment and professional discretion

  • Identify gaps or improvement opportunities in customer deployment strategies and security policies and recommend appropriate adjustments

  • Proactively manage your own priorities, deadlines, and workload with minimal day-to-day instruction as a self-starter

  • Collaborate with senior team members to validate architectural approaches and optimize the application of product features for customer environments

  • Present new ideas, improvements, and lessons learned, contributing to continuous improvement within the Professional Services organization

  • Act as a trusted customer advocate by delivering solutions with a Customer First, Always mindset

  • Complete knowledge and practical application of principles, practices, and methodologies within Professional Services or a related technical discipline

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to evaluate incomplete information and adapt existing approaches to new scenarios

  • Proven ability to work independently as a self-starter while knowing when to seek guidance for new or higher-risk assignments

  • Experience supporting customer-facing deployments, implementations, or technical engagements

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English, with the ability to support local customers and partners effectively

  • A disciplined, execution-focused approach to delivering results within defined timelines

    Technical Skills:

  • Solid foundation in networking and network security concepts

  • Working knowledge of Linux systems and environments

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with security, cloud, or enterprise infrastructure technologies

  • Prior work in post-sales, consulting, or customer success environments

  • Demonstrated ability to take on projects of increasing scope and complexity

  • Passion for continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and team collaboration
