You can expect to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, driven by first principles engineering, solving difficult problems. ### **Job Overview** As a **Material Planner**, you’ll own the flow of material that keeps every Heron Link build on schedule. In this hands-on role, you’ll get the right parts to the right place at the right time, whether that means on site, kitted, or shipped to our suppliers, contract manufacturers, and rework partners. You’ll partner closely with Supply Chain, Desgin Engineering, NPI, Manufacturing and Warehouse to track purchase orders, surface risks early, and keep inventory records accurate as we scale our operations. ### **How You Will Contribute** - _Own Clear To Build (CTB) for each NPI build, leading daily review with the supply chain team, tracking POs and shipments._ - _Manage the constrained parts Heron Power buys and supplies to its suppliers and Contract Manufacturers (CMs)._ - _Build automated alerts to escalate late or at-risk parts and drive corrective actions with partner teams before they impact the build._ - _Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure parts are received correctly against POs and stored in an organized, labeled location._ - _Manage rework material, from defining BOMs and kitting parts with engineers to shipping and tracking PCBAs from rework sites._ - _Partner with our in-house software team to build/improve material ordering and inventory tracking system_ ### **What You Will Bring** We’re looking for an organized, hands-on self-starter who’s eager to learn in a fast-paced hardware environment. Scope and responsibilities will grow with the right candidate. ### **Must Have Requirements** - _Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience_ - _2 to 4 years of experience in materials, supply chain, production planning, or purchasing, ideally in hardware manufacturing_ - _Comfortable reading BOMs, purchase orders, and shipping documents_ - _Experience with CTB reports, MRP, and kitting_ - _Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets (filters, lookups, basic formulas)_ - _Strong attention to detail and a habit of keeping records accurate_ - _Clear communicator who escalates problems early_ ### **Nice to Haves** - _Experience with an ERP or MRP system (for example NetSuite, Odoo, or SAP)_ - _Experience supporting NPI builds or coordinating with a contract manufacturer_ - _Exposure to electronics manufacturing: reels, trays, ESD handling, and moisture-sensitive (MSL) parts_ If you are passionate about technology and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
