Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait. **What You Will Be Doing:** You will drive the design and development of cutting-edge semiconductors for high-performance pulsed power systems used in Helion’s fusion generators. You will work in a fast-paced environment to develop, test, and implement high-reliability, high-efficiency switching components, with a strong emphasis on rapid development cycles. You will report directly to our Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering, and this is an onsite role located at our Everett, WA office. **You Will:** - Spearhead efforts to gather and utilize requirements for switching components and apply them toward design of physical products  - Drive the design and development of novel pulsed power electronics components and systems, focusing on high-efficiency, high-reliability semiconductor solutions - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of electrical, mechanical, and physics-based principles in semiconductor development - Lead development cycles, including hands-on prototyping, small-scale testing, and large-scale performance validation - Conduct simulations, testing, and analysis to validate designs and iterate quickly using data-backed decision making - Stay informed on emerging semiconductor materials, device architectures, and industry trends - Document design processes, specifications, test results, and findings for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing **Required Skills:** - Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field - 8+ years of experience in power electronics and high voltage semiconductor design - Strong foundation in semiconductor physics, power electronics, and circuit design principles - Proven experience with rapid prototyping and development cycles in a high-tech environment - Background working with semiconductor fabricators to manufacture semiconductor devices  - Proficiency with simulation tools and test equipment for power electronics #LI-Onsite #LI-KL1 **Benefits** Our total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to: - Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families - 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) - 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break - Up to 5% employer 401(k) match - Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance - Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) - Annual wellness stipend _Helion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
