Software Engineer

Join GoodData's Professional Services team and build next-generation AI data applications on top of our Agentic Data Platform. We help Fortune 500 companies process and analyze hundreds of terabytes of data every day — and the frontend you ship is how they see it. You'll grow under senior tech leads and architects, taking on increasing scope as you ramp.

You'll join an autonomous frontend squad of 6–7 engineers inside a wider Professional Services Scrum team of 12–15 people covering data engineering, LDM (logical data model) design, metrics, and full-stack delivery on top of GoodData products. Your React work plugs straight into solid data foundations built by teammates you collaborate with directly.

How We Actually Work

We're an AI-native engineering team. That's not a buzzword — it's our day-to-day:

• AI agents are part of the toolchain. Engineers work with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other coding agents daily. We use them to scaffold, refactor, review, and automate.

• You pick your stack — IDE, LLM provider, agent workflow. The team currently leans towards Anthropic, but pick what ships best work.

• Rapid iteration, high bar. Senior tech leads and a strong collective keep quality high while velocity stays high. Guardrails, not gatekeeping.

• Knowledge sharing is a habit. Regular internal workshops, frontend meetups, and open architectural discussions. What one of us learns, all of us learn.

• Freedom and ownership. You decide how to solve the problem. We decide together what's worth solving.

What You'll Build

• You'll develop custom dashboard plugins and full single-page applications for our largest clients, built on our open-source GoodData.UI React library.

• Collaborate on customer solutions on the GoodData platform and GoodData.UI

• Ship features end-to-end in an agile (Scrum) environment

• Contribute to feature implementation and technical discussions alongside tech leads and architects

• Review code deeply, write unit and integration tests, pair with QA to deliver production-grade software

• Contribute ideas to our best practices, tech stack, and AI-assisted workflows

About You

Must have

• 3+ years professional JavaScript / TypeScript

• Solid React experience (production projects)

• Ability to attend the office occasionally

• Solid grasp of modern browser app development (SPA architecture - we do Client Side Rendering)

• Unit testing fluency (Vitest / Jest, React Testing Library)

• Automated testing know-how (Cypress, Playwright)

• Comfortable reviewing code — spotting bugs, asking good questions, learning patterns from seniors

• Ownership mindset — good understanding what “done” means, ask for help early

• Strong English and collaborative instincts (from time to time you need to present you work on Sprint Demos, join customer calls)

• Genuine curiosity — for new tools, new problems, new ideas

• Comfortable integrating AI tooling into your workflow (or eager to)
