Job Description
What You’ll Do
Close Deals (50%)
- Own the pipeline. Prospect, qualify, demo, and close mid-market security and risk leaders. You’ll work with the CEO to manage the full sales cycle from first touch to signed contract.
- Build repeatable playbooks. Document what works, create enablement materials, and establish the sales motion that future AEs will run.
- Partner with founders on enterprise deals. Jump into strategic accounts, run discovery, handle objections, and negotiate terms alongside the CEO.
Build the Brand (30%)
- Run events and dinners. Host intimate roundtables. Make GhostEye the place where practitioners talk candidly about the human side of security.
- Own Conference Presence. Represent GhostEye at BlackHat, RSA, bSides, and regional security events. Work the floor, run booth demos, and turn conversations into pipeline.
- Create content that resonates. Write Linkedin posts, case studies, and thought leadership pieces that position GhostEye as the category leader.
Shape GTM Strategy (20%)
- Define ICP and messaging. Work with the founders to refine who we sell to, why they buy, and how we differentiate from legacy security awareness training.
- Experiment across channels. Test sequences, ABM campaigns, partnerships, and referral loops. Measure what drives the pipeline and double down.
- Build the GTM stack. Maintain CRM, outbound tools, attribution, and reporting so we can scale what works.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling technical products to security, risk, or compliance personas. You’ve carried quota and closed five-figure deals.
- Proven ability to build relationships. You’re comfortable hosting dinners, running events and having unscripted conversations with senior buyers.
- Strong written and verbal communication. You can explain complex technical concepts simply and write content that doesn’t sound like corporate jargon.
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup (Seed/Series A). You know what 0-to-1 looks like and thrive in that environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%. Conferences, customer meetings, and events are core to this role.
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience selling cybersecurity, GRC, or security awareness products (KnowBe4, Wiz, Vanta, etc.)
- Existing network of security leaders or practitioners you can activate
- Track record creating content that resonates (Linkedin posts, blogs, case studies)
- Experience planning or hosting events, dinners, or community programs
Interview Process
- Phone Screen (30 min, remote) - Chat with a founder about your background and GhostEye
- Take-Home Exercise (3-4 hours) – Build a GTM plan: identify target accounts, draft outreach sequences, and propose 2 event concepts
- On-Site Interview (NYC) - Present your work, meet the team, and join us for a meal
