Job Description
Join our global force of 400+ innovators, blending the latest in tech with the greatest in soundtracking, from our Stockholm HQ to offices in London, New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, Paris, Oslo, and Seoul. We’re an industry leader with a startup mentality. We take what we do seriously, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. Creating and collaborating to transform the sound of streaming, content, and culture. Come join us, and let the world feel your work.
As VP of Engineering for B2B Experience, you will own the technical foundation that powers Epidemic Sound's enterprise business. With B2B as one of our highest-growth areas, this role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and commercial impact, directly shaping the product capabilities that win and retain global enterprise customers.
You will lead a group of engineering managers and their teams, setting technical direction across a domain where the stakes are high and the complexity is real. From enterprise-readiness and security compliance to agentic development practices and architectural decisions that affect gross margin, your work will have a direct and measurable effect on how Epidemic Sound grows as a business. You will report to the CTO and collaborate closely with product, design, and commercial leadership to ensure engineering is a driver of business outcomes, not just a delivery function.
Your key responsibilities include
Lead, mentor, and develop engineering managers and their teams, building high-performing teams with sustainable ways of working and clear accountability.
Set and maintain a technical vision and roadmap for B2B Experience that aligns with platform strategy and commercial objectives.
Drive adoption of agentic development practices across teams, ensuring AI agents are embedded in how we design, build, and test, while ensuring teams can critically evaluate agent output.
Own technical reliability, cost control, and delivery quality across the group, with a clear understanding of how infrastructure and architectural decisions affect gross margin.
Work closely with PMs, designers, and commercial stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables, pushing back on poor specs and contributing actively to solution design.
Synthesize requirements from customers, security reviews, and commercial feedback into technical priorities, ensuring the roadmap reflects what wins and retains enterprise business.
Represent the group in technical forums and collaborate with engineering leaders across Epidemic Sound to align vision and practices.
Foster a culture of accountability, good intentions, and collaboration.
Requirements
At least 15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 in leadership roles managing managers.
Proven technical leadership at scale in a role such as Director, VP, or CTO, setting technical direction across multiple teams in a growth-oriented company.
Deep expertise in enterprise SaaS, including B2B dynamics, enterprise sales cycles, and the technical criteria that appear in customer procurement and security reviews such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, SSO/SAML, and SLA commitments.
Commercial acumen: you understand how engineering decisions affect revenue, gross margin, and customer retention, and are comfortable discussing unit economics and build-vs-buy trade-offs without needing a finance team to translate.
Agentic development mindset: you actively use AI agents in your own work and have experience embedding agentic practices into engineering teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to operate across product, design, commercial, and engineering without relying on intermediaries.
Experience driving architectural decisions for hyper-growth and global scale.
A track record of developing engineering teams and managers to achieve outsized results.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
