About Embedder
Embedder is building AI agents for hardware teams. Our agents read datasheets, generate production C/C++ firmware, and verify their own code in a closed loop on real silicon. We are a YC S25 company backed by CRV, Box Group, and Emerson Collective, with $XM+ raised, 5,000+ engineers using the product, and 100+ paying customers across automotive, aerospace, medical, IoT, and consumer electronics. We sell software and we run a full-stack firmware design service — this role sells both.
The Role
You'll build the top of our pipeline — researching hardware companies, running outbound across channels, qualifying inbound, and putting qualified meetings on the calendars of our AEs and founders. You'll also shape the playbook itself: messaging, sequences, ICP refinement, and the systems every BDR who follows you will inherit.
What You'll Do
- Research and identify hardware companies that fit our ICP across automotive, aerospace, medical, IoT, and consumer electronics.
- Run outbound across cold calls, email, and LinkedIn to engineering leaders and firmware teams at target accounts.
- Qualify inbound leads and book qualified meetings and demos for our AEs and founders.
- Hit and exceed monthly quotas for qualified meetings and pipeline generated.
- Own clean, accurate activity and pipeline data in the CRM — this becomes the foundation of the sales org.
- Partner with sales, marketing, and the founders to sharpen messaging and outreach strategy against real reply data.
- Learn the product, the market, and the competitive landscape deep enough to hold a credible technical conversation with a firmware engineer.
- Help shape sales culture, hiring bar, and the BDR-to-AE promotion path as one of our founding GTM hires.
Who You Are
- 0–2 years in sales, customer-facing, or other outreach-heavy roles — or a strong, demonstrated drive to start a sales career.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator. You can write a cold email a senior engineer will actually read.
- Self-motivated, resilient, and genuinely comfortable with rejection — you treat "no" as data.
- Organized and detail-oriented. You leave the CRM cleaner than you found it.
- Coachable and hungry to learn. You ask for feedback before it's offered.
- You want to be in the office five days a week in San Francisco.
Bonus Points
- Background in firmware, embedded software, electrical engineering, or selling into hardware/engineering teams — you can speak the language of our buyers.
- Experience at an early-stage startup, especially as a first or early sales hire.
- You've built your own outbound tooling, scripts, or AI-assisted workflows on top of modern sales stacks.
- "Future founder" archetype — you've started something real and decided you want to learn GTM from the ground up first.

Compensation
Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission. Founding equity included.
Cash/commission/equity mix is flexible.
Location & Eligibility
Full-time, in person at our San Francisco office. You must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.
