Senior Content Operations & Localization Contractor ( 3 months - 100% Remote within Spain/Poland)
Job Description
Docplanner runs a global healthcare platform across 12 markets, including ZnanyLekarz, Doctoralia, Jameda, and MioDottore. We serve patients looking for care and healthcare professionals using our SaaS tools.
We're starting a project to replace legacy spreadsheet glossaries with a machine-readable AI translation system (multilingual knowledge graphs ontology). This system feeds our automated translation engines to protect medical compliance, brand voice, and accuracy across every market.
We need a senior, hands-on Content Operations contractor for 3 months to scale these frameworks (glossaries, tone of voice and content style guides per market), train distributed teams, and keep execution on track across 5+ global markets.
Important context: Docplanner has no centralized Content Design team. Content is created and managed locally by product, marketing, and market teams in each country. Your job is not to write content, it is to build the systems, governance, and training that make 12 distributed teams work consistently.
You will be responsible for:
1. Scale the localization framework across 5+ markets
Take the foundational frameworks, schemas, and templates established by previous content designers and scale them systematically across more than 5 core European and Latin American markets.
Build and expand localized Term Record Schemas per market, keeping them aligned with the global ontology and brand personality.
Turn tone-of-voice guidelines into machine-readable rules (pronoun matrices, syntax constraints, forbidden synonym lists) that plug directly into LLM translation engines.
2. Run governance and quality control
Manage two translation workflow tiers: human review for high-stakes medical and SaaS content; AI-first with fix-on-feedback loops for lower-risk assets.
Bridge engineering, localization pipelines, and local market reviewers so that 90%+ of product copy passes automated CI/CD linting without manual intervention.
Spot workflow and process bottlenecks early and design fixes alongside product managers and developers.
3. Stakeholder Management & Internal Capacity Building
Lead change management to get product managers, engineers, and local market leads using the new ontology ecosystem.
Run workshops on localization best practices, internationalization standards, and machine-translation context review mapping and content design.
Hold bi-weekly Office Hours to unblock local teams and resolve content ambiguities.
Align Design, Product, and Engineering on shared goals for the system.
What will set you up for success in this role?
6+ years leading Content Operations, Localization Management, or Information Architecture projects at scale.
Experience managing localization across 5+ languages or markets at the same time.
Hands-on experience building or working with structured terminology databases, taxonomies, glossaries, or knowledge graphs (ontology) for machine consumption (e.g. JSON-LD, TMS integration).
Proven ability to govern cross-functional teams you influence but don't directly manage.
Strong facilitation and documentation skills: you're comfortable training non-specialists on advanced Content Ops methods.
Organized, execution-driven, and pragmatic: you can step into an active roadmap and drive momentum without disrupting ongoing sprints.
Fluent professional English.
Nice to have
Polish, Spanish, Italian, or German — given our market footprint, additional languages are a clear advantage.
We promote and embrace equal opportunities in our hiring process, and also every day at work. When you apply for our roles you receive equal treatment regardless of age, disabilities, gender reassignment, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or parental status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation or any other dimension of human difference. If you require additional support in your recruitment process, we kindly encourage you to let us know. Behind those words you’re reading, there’s a person (hi!) who already helped a candidate by adapting the interviews, and now we’re lucky to have this person with us. So, even if you’ve never asked for it before, may this serve as a sign that, now, you can do so. We can only truly be equal if we adapt to each other.
“We believe all humans, in all their beautiful diversity, should have equal rights, dignity and respect. Period.” Mariusz Gralewski, CEO
