The Problem

Millions of businesses need insurance, but the industry runs on manual processes, fragmented tools, and opaque workflows. At insurance agencies, producers are buried in admin work, chasing quotes, and navigating clunky systems instead of doing what they do best: advising clients and closing deals.

At Casey, we’re building a new kind of insurance agency. One where our team is not held back by decade old tools, and manual logging of repetitive tasks. We’re re-thinking how an insurance agency can be run from the ground up, always keeping the same question at the back of our mind: what can we do to optimize our service for our customers?

About the Role

As Casey's Founding BDR, you are the first voice prospects hear. Your job is to open doors: high-volume outbound, smart targeting, and conversations that turn into booked meetings for our producers. This is a high-output, high-impact role where success is measured in conversations started and qualified meetings set.

You'll work directly with the founders and the producer team to shape the outbound playbook from scratch: lists, messaging, objection handling, sequencing. The angles you find, the scripts you refine, and the feedback you give the engineering team become company DNA.

Responsibilities

  • Run high-volume outbound (calls, email, LinkedIn) to pre-qualified prospects to book intro meetings for our producers
  • Own outreach end-to-end: research, first touch, objection handling, follow-up, and handoff
  • Use live research to find sharp, specific angles for each prospect
  • Hit and beat weekly meeting and pipeline targets; report cleanly on what's working and what isn't
  • Partner with the engineering team to stress-test and improve the AI tools that power outbound (lead enrichment, sequencing, dialer workflows)
  • Refine messaging, ICP targeting, and outbound sequences based on what is actually converting

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years in outbound sales, BDR/SDR roles and cold calling; strong track record of hitting meeting/pipeline quota
  • High energy, self-motivated, and resilient; you treat 'no' as data and not as rejection
  • Coachable and competitive; you want feedback and you want to win
  • Confident, clear phone communicator who enjoys the thrill of the deal
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity; you thrive without a playbook and help build one
  • Interest in technology and willingness to work closely with engineers to improve the tools you use every day
  • Bonus: you’ve worked in the insurance industry

What We Offer

  • Base salary: $60,000-$80,000 DOE + performance bonus + equity
  • Insurance: Health, dental, vision
  • Location: Remote with future Hybrid opportunities (as we scale and open future hubs)
