POSITION SUMMARY

Since Axiom Space is a very complex work environment, we are looking for a resilient, high-energy AP Clerk that will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and vendor inquiries while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in accordance with company policies and procedures

  • Verify invoice coding and resolve discrepancies with internal stakeholders and vendors

  • Maintain accurate vendor records and updates

  • Respond promptly and professionally to vendor and internal inquiries

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve outstanding issues

  • Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts payable

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the AP function

  • Perform additional job duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent of 1–3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Knowledge of 3-way matching and purchase order–based invoicing

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint or similar)

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

  • Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges

  • Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high quality results

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements 

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position

  • Must be willing to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time)

  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
