Job Description

Introduction to the job

ASML supports the semiconductor industry’s ongoing quest for producing faster, smarter and more energy efficient chips. We are a young, dynamic, international and highly skilled workforce. ASML creates the systems that the lithography industry needs to achieve its goals. This can only be accomplished with strong support from our suppliers.

Are you energized by shaping supplier logistics performance end-to-end—from day-to-day material availability to multi-year capacity and resilience? Do you enjoy leading complex stakeholder environments, influencing senior supplier management, and driving structural improvements across a multi-tier supply chain? Then this Senior Logistics Supplier Manager (LSM) role might be the right next step.

Role and responsibilities

As a Logistics Supplier Manager (LSM), you are the Logistics representative in the Supplier Account Team (SAT) and lead the supplier’s logistics agenda to secure material availability and competitive supply chain performance. You drive short-, mid- and long-term supply readiness, translating ASML business priorities into clear logistics commitments with suppliers (including n-tier where required). You will typically manage a portfolio of strategic suppliers and take the lead in escalations when supply is at risk.

Core responsibilities
1) Supplier performance management (Logistics KPI ownership)
* Own and drive logistics performance (e.g., OTIF and related logistics KPIs), ensure data-driven problem solving, and steer structural improvements with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Establish a clear performance dialogue and follow-up rhythm (internal SAT cadence, supplier ORMs/ERMs), ensuring actions are defined, tracked and closed.

2) Supply readiness & capability (mid/long term)
* Assess and secure supplier move rate capability and flexibility (capacity, bottlenecks, constraints) across the relevant multi-tier supply chain.
* Own and drive cycle time optimization and lead-time reduction programs; ensure suppliers can absorb demand changes and ramp requirements.
* Engineer and optimize supply chain set-ups (replenishment strategies, decoupling buffers, planning/confirmation ways-of-working) in alignment with ASML processes.

3) Supply chain risk mitigation (n-tier)
* Proactively identify logistics risks and critical nodes across n-tier supply chains and drive mitigation plans with clear owners, timelines and effectiveness checks.
* Lead resolution of recurring supply issues by removing root causes and improving supplier logistics competences and governance.

4) Escalation leadership
* Lead supplier-related logistics escalations when needed, ensuring fast containment, cross-sector alignment, and prevention of recurrence.

5) NPI / transfers / lifecycle management
* Ensure early involvement in NPI to secure on-time capability building and readiness to release for volume (logistics maturity, planning alignment, lead times, buffer strategy).
* Lead or contribute to supply chain reallocations/transfers and other high-impact improvement programs across sites, suppliers and sectors.

6) Reuse & repair enablement (where applicable)
* Drive supplier repair performance to meet agreed repair order lead times; secure capacity agreements for repair/harvesting according to return rates and full-tier supply chain needs.
* Represent ASML professionally towards supplier senior management and influence decisions that improve long-term resilience and performance.

Education and experience

* Master’s degree in Supply Chain, (Industrial) Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Bachelor’s with extensive relevant experience can be considered).
* 10–15 years of relevant experience in supply chain / logistics / operations in a high-tech, low-volume, complex industrial environment.
* Proven experience in supplier management and driving performance improvements with external partners (including senior stakeholder management at supplier side).
* Strong background in production supply chain processes (planning, order book management, delivery performance, lead-time/cycle-time improvement).
* Demonstrated leadership in escalation management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment in a matrix organization.
* Solid project/program management experience; Lean / Six Sigma experience preferred (certification is a plus).
* Experience with multi-tier (n-tier) supply chains and complex, constrained supply environments is strongly preferred.
* Fluent in English; additional local language skills are a plus.

Skills

Working at the cutting edge of tech, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve — and working together is the only way to do that. In this senior role, you will operate in a complex stakeholder environment and will be expected to set direction, create alignment, and drive sustainable results through others.
To thrive in this job, you’ll need the following skills:

* Executive-level stakeholder management; able to influence without authority and align “one voice” across internal and external stakeholders.
* Strong analytical capability and structured problem solving; able to translate data into clear priorities, actions, and measurable outcomes.
* Deep understanding of supply chain fundamentals (planning, capacity, constraints, cycle time, inventory/buffer strategy) and how to apply them in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
* Strong risk mindset: proactive identification of supply risks and effective mitigation planning across n-tier supply chains.
* Escalation leadership: calm under pressure, able to mobilize teams, drive containment, and ensure prevention of recurrence.
* Program/project leadership: drives complex initiatives end-to-end, manages dependencies, and delivers impact across sectors/sites.
* Negotiation and influencing skills; able to challenge constructively and reach durable agreements with suppliers.
* Pragmatic, resilient, and results-driven; role-models continuous improvement and coaches others.
