
Sr Business Improvement Engineer Reverse Supply Chain

Do you want to drive high-impact business transformation in a complex global reverse supply chain? Are you passionate about translating strategy into scalable solutions that improve performance, reduce waste, and enable reuse at scale?
We are looking for a Sr Business Improvement Engineer to join the R&R Business Improvement Reverse Supply Chain (BI RSC) team. In this role, you will design and deliver end-to-end solutions that accelerate reuse and repair, leveraging data, automation, and strong business understanding to create measurable value.
Role and responsibilities
1. Design & Solution Engineering
- Define detailed business requirements for workflow and software solutions
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end solution designs (process, data, IT architecture)
- Design scalable and future-proof solution architectures
- Deploy automation and AI-driven solutions
- Support in defining business improvement roadmap and strategy
2. Business Improvement Delivery
- Deliver structural improvements that are aligned to the business roadmap and strategy
- Implement applications, dashboards, and analytical products with the support from data platform, software engineering, and analytics team.
- Drive process standardization across regions
- Support rollout, adoption, and integration across operations and stakeholders
3. Data & Performance Management
- Design and develop data models, platforms, workflow, and monitoring capabilities to support business decisions
- Enable data-driven decision making by providing insights on value, performance, and potential
- Track and benchmark performance vs. targets and support course correction
4. Stakeholder Management & Collaboration
- Act as a recognized business partner for stakeholders
- Align on roadmap, priorities, architecture, and value contribution with the R&R Business Improvement teams
- Bridge business and IT teams to ensure successful and timely implementation
5. Continuous Improvement & Operations Support
- Maintain and enhance existing solutions and tools with the support of data platform, software engineering, and analytics team
- Support run-the-business activities and resolve bottlenecks in execution
- Identify improvement opportunities and contribute to backlog prioritization
- Ensure compliance, security, and sustainability of solutions
Education and experience
- Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration. Other engineering disciplines may be considered.
- ~5+ years of experience in:
- Supply chain engineering / business improvement / solution engineering
- Data-driven improvement or transformation roles
- Experience working in cross-functional environments (business + IT)
- Experience with AI and ML development is a plus
Skills
- In-depth understanding of demand, supply, and supply chain inventory concept
- Proficient in translating functional knowledge for application and data analysis development
- Proficient in SAP suite such as ERP (ECC or S/4), HANA, BTP, etc., and Azure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in data analysis
- Skills in developing reports and dashboards is an advantage; Skills with cloud-based applications is an advantage
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Pragmatic, take ownership, results-driven, and able to operate in ambiguity
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
