
P&D - Freight Specialist - Linkou
Job Description
Introduction to the job
Has profound knowledge of processes and systems within freight. Manages LSP's operational performance and can lead weekly business reviews. Creates, reviews and owns work instructions.
Manages operations and solves complex operational challenges quickly and efficiently; large variety of issues related to multiple processes. Prevents reoccurrence of challenges by identifying improvement areas and leads operational improvement projects e.g. 4C to safeguard on time and in full delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Logistics, Supply chain or other relevent study with thorough experience. Masters degree Logistics, Supply chain with relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Operations
Acts as first line of escalation for LSP related issues.
Prepares and leads operational reviews with LSP focusing day to day operations. Drives agreed action items to closure with clearly communicated timelines.
Plans and monitors shipments incl optics (TRM5) and capital (TRM6) in cooperation with factory outbound, sales, warehouses, customs brokers and LSP's to secure delivery.
Ensures compliant administration for shipments such as creating shipping documentation and billing. Drives follow up and closure on incomplete or incorrect administrative input and ensures preventive measures for future.
Coordinates and aligns with cross-regional freight teams for operational planning.
Performance management
Manages operational performance of one core LSP.
Ensures products are delivered on time and in full to customers against agreed SLA's and maintains clear communication and alignment between LSP's, internal stakeholders and management of department.
Ensures data completeness in performance system by interacting with LSP's and other transportation specialists.
Project Management
Identifies improvements and opportunities related to costs, leadtime and quality.
Translates improvement and opportunity areas into tangible and smart intiatives to change internal and external ways of working.
Leads departmental improvements and contributes to cross sectoral projects/improvements.
Stakeholder management
Identifies and interacts with stakeholders with support from management.
Collaborates cross-sectorly with CSCM operations, factory - logistics and production, Customs Specialists, Sales, LSP account managers, warehousing managers and finance.
Transport Management System (TMS)
Updates and maintains TMS master data.
Ensures and secures adherence of standard shipping process through monitoring TMS usage of internal and external users such as LSP's.
