Introduction to the job
The Manufacturing Services (MFS) – Logistics Operations (LO) department is responsible for managing the logistics flows within ASML, such as Receiving, Picking, MICC, CRL & outbound, for both materials & tools. As a Team Lead Receiving, you are responsible for managing the colleagues of Receiving, within the LO scope of Inbound. You will also be part of the LO Inbound, Receiving & Picking staff team.
The Receiving team is responsible for receiving shipments, sorting, booking and timely put-away of materials to stock. Received shipments range from parcel deliveries to container shipments and put-aways are performed to both AS/RS and Non-AS/RS locations. Materials handled by the Receiving department are needed for manufacturing within the Veldhoven factory for the production of ASML’s lithography Systems or needed for shipping within ASML’s global network.
Roles & responsibilities:
The Team Lead Receiving leads a team of about +/- 20 FTE with the goal of ensuring on-time and in full delivery of materials for our internal customers. While focusing on efficiency and output, the Team Lead is also expected to ensure a safe work environment and a quality & continuous improvement focus. Key responsibilities for this Team Lead role include:
Safety: ensures a safe working environment for all personnel in the Receiving working area, proactively recognizes dangerous situations and prevent incidents from happening by promoting speak-up & independent safety mind-set.
People management: ensures adequate organization and staffing to realize output at optimized cost levels. Ensure proper execution of HR&O policies and procedures. Focusses on optimal employability of the individual team members. Coaches the team members, delegates tasks, sets priorities, solves problems and contributes to a productive working environment. Setting personal targets for your team, regularly evaluating their performance.
Daily Performance Management: observes and steers day-to-day execution. Responsible for solving issues and preventing reoccurrence.
Tactical Performance Management: defines, measures and reports overall SLA / performance to internal customers and staff.
Quality: Responsible for timely and in-full put-away of materials towards internal customers, correct registration and timely resolution of stagnations.
Continuous Improvement: initiates and implements organizational improvements for the Receiving operations in terms of processes, products and people capabilities. Drives improvement projects within the department and organizes opportunities for employees to contribute and execute within projects that contribute to the realizing the LO mission and vision. Supports & leads in achieving LEAN improvements, including 5S+1. Coordinates and participates in cross-sector improvement projects.
Planning: plans on priorities as defined in SLA’s. Identifies potential bottlenecks in operations. Acts and communicates on situations with appropriate urgency and in a pragmatic way. Actively aligns with internal stakeholders to ensure optimal execution of the daily operational plan.
Collaboration: contributes towards effective collaboration with other Manufacturing Services and LO departments, Logistics Service Providers and other ASML Departments.
Education & Experience:
MBO+ / HBO level (logistics discipline or industrial/business engineering)
Minimum of 3 years in a leading or coordinating logistics position.
Experience with a dynamic working environment.
Knowledge and experience in warehousing and distribution processes is preferred.
Enthusiastic people manager (Good interpersonal skills, motivator, team builder, coach).
Service oriented mindset and excellent stakeholder management skills.
Able to think in end-to-end processes and understanding the bigger picture.
SAP (EWM & ECC) knowledge is an advantage

Other information:
The candidate will need to follow additional training and courses.
A certificate of conduct (‘Verklaring Geen Bezwaar, VGB) and successful completion of the ‘Known Consignor training’ (Medewerker Luchtvracht) is required.
The candidate will be working in support schedule (2 shifts).
