Introduction

The Reverse Supply Chain Operational Excellence team at ASML works on improving reuse, sustainability, and cost efficiency across global operations. Reuse of parts reduces material consumption, lowers environmental impact, and prevents unnecessary new purchases. This internship supports faster, clearer, and data‑driven decisions in reverse supply chain processes. During this internship, you help planners act on the right next steps at the right time. Your work directly contributes to reduced cycle times and increased reuse worldwide.


Your assignment

In this internship you work on improving operational clarity and efficiency in daily planning activities. You translate process needs into practical automation and logic improvements. Your contribution helps reduce manual effort and supports scalable global standards. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and improve decision logic that guides planners on the correct next actions

  • Analyze data to validate logic accuracy and consistency across supply chain processes

  • Support automation improvements to reduce repetitive or manual tasks

  • Investigate and resolve process or automation issues to prevent reoccurrence

  • Document logic, assumptions, and improvements to ensure reuse and transparency

  • Collaborate closely with planners and supply chain engineers on operational challenges


This is a non‑thesis bachelor or master internship for minimum 5 months, 5 days per week ( min. 4 days on‑site). The start date of this internship is as of October 2026.


Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program

  • Study industrial engineering, supply chain management, data analytics, or a related field

  • Have basic understanding of supply chain processes and operational flows

  • Show affinity with coding, data analysis, or automation concepts

  • Demonstrate an analytical, structured, and collaborative way of working

  • Have experience with Python


Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship, and you are at least 18 years old at the start of the internship;
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement);
  • You attach your cover letter with a clear motivation on why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to be perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your application shows the willingness to relocate.
