Introduction of the job

As the Foundation Team Leader (FTL - Electrical Safety & Compliance) in Wilton, you will own and operate a domain‑specific Enabler or engineering service area, ensuring the availability, quality, and consistency of the services provided. You maintain and continuously improve the performance and reliability of the assigned Enabler or engineering service, securing coherence in execution and effectiveness across users and applications. In this role, you determine the structure and operation of the service, prioritize required improvements and maintenance, and escalate usage gaps or conflicts when needed. You are fully accountable for people management and for building the conditions necessary for a stable, high‑performing team.


The role focuses on mainstream or known technology and processes, operates within a single competency with limited competency responsibility, interfaces mainly at the engineer or team level within the site, and requires tactical stakeholder management with minimal involvement from external sectors or broader MDU networks.


Responsibilities

In this role, you are responsible for ensuring the consistent availability, quality, and effectiveness of the engineering services in scope while aligning service roadmaps with Delivery requirements.

  • Strong working knowledge of electrical safety principles, risk assessment, and hazard mitigation.

  • Demonstrated experience ensuring compliance with applicable electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., IEC, UL, NFPA, OSHA, DEKRA, SEMI-S2, CE/Low Voltage Directive).

  • Proven ability to interpret, apply, and enforce electrical safety requirements across designs, equipment, labs, and operational environments.

  • Familiarity with high‑voltage systems, power distribution, grounding, insulation, EMC/ESD, and fault protection concepts.

  • Strong understanding of product safety, machinery safety, and system‑level electrical compliance requirements.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

  • High level of ownership, attention to detail, and commitment to safe working practices.


Foundation

  • Own and operate engineering service area for one specific engineering service, ensuring availability, quality and consistency of the engineering service for use.

  • Align and prioritize usage of engineering service across MDUs, balancing demand, capacity, and impact in close coordination with Delivery.

  • Continuously improve and develop the specific engineering service based on user input, aligning with domain strategy and evolving Delivery requirements.

  • Incorporate input from industry, academia and suppliers to improve domain enablers.

  • May be required to act as the interface point contact for similar service teams in other sites.


People

  • Potential to manage people small team (typically 0-10, can be more).

  • Mentor team members and align responsibilities and priorities related to specific enabler deliverables.


Education & experience

  • BS in engineering or in relevant technical field.

  • MSc or PhD preferred in relevant technical field.

  • 8+ years technical background in relevant domain or relevant engineering service.

  • Experience operating in a complex engineering environment.

  • Technically skilled individual with extensive knowledge of domain and enabling service or engineering service in question.

  • Strong structuring and prioritization skills, driving efficient use of tools and enabling services.

  • Hold strong communication capabilities, enabling clear articulation of complex technical guidance across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Knowledge of / experience with effort estimating, risk analysis.

  • Experience in leadership.

  • Ensures safe system performance by applying electrical safety standards, assessing hazards, and enforcing compliance across high‑voltage, grounding, insulation, EMC/ESD, and fault‑protection requirements.

  • Validates electrical system behavior including power distribution, product and machinery safety, and system‑level compliance through rigorous technical analysis, clear documentation, and disciplined adherence to safe working practices.

Other

  • This position is located on-site.  It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. A flexible workplace arrangement is available for remote work up to two days a week. 

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • May require travel (specify domestic and/or international) dependent on business needs.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


Additional Responsibilities:

There is potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage and currents.


This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
