
Data Science | Business Analytics internship: workforce learning analytics
Job Description
Introduction
The SS&C Academy team focuses on developing scalable learning solutions that support business growth and capability building. In this internship, you will help transform how learning data is analyzed and used for decision-making. You will contribute to building automated, sustainable insights that improve training effectiveness and workforce development. This role offers hands-on experience at the intersection of data analytics and learning innovation. You will work closely with stakeholders to turn complex datasets into clear, actionable insights.
Your assignment
During this internship, you will collaborate with data specialists and business partners to improve reporting and analytics within the Academy. You will analyze data, develop automation solutions, and translate insights into meaningful improvements for learning strategies. Your main responsibilities will be:
Develop dashboards, macros or scripts to streamline reporting workflows
Combine multiple data sources into clear and structured training portfolio insights
Analyze learning data to identify gaps, trends, and improvement opportunities
Support automation of skills and learning needs analysis across teams
Create user-friendly reporting tools for business partners and other stakeholders
Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
Document processes and ensure sustainable handover of developed solutions
This is a bachelor’s or master’s internship (non-thesis) for a minimum of 6 months, a minimum of 32 hours per week (including 3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is projected at the end of August 2026.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, business analytics, business economics, information management, or a related field
Have strong analytical skills and experience with data visualization and automation tools
Are proficient in Excel (including macros or VBA) and Power BI or similar data visualization tools; experience with Python, SQL, or similar tools is a plus
Are proactive, structured, and comfortable working independently in a dynamic environment
Have strong English communication skills and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
