You want to take on responsibility and actively shape security? As an Operational Security Specialist, you will become part of our Corporate Real Estate team and work primarily at our Berlin location within Physical Security Operations. With your commitment, you ensure smooth day-to-day operations and help strengthen ASML’s resilience against internal and external threats — always with the goal of protecting people, assets, and knowledge.

Role and responsibilities

• Close and trusted collaboration with the Physical Security Operations Manager as well as the global Security team to implement ASML standards for security infrastructure and technology
• Proactive identification and implementation of security measures, including risk assessments and the development of mitigation strategies
• Operational responsibility for the Security Control Room, including organization and monitoring of control room operations and alarm management, as well as managing and overseeing external security service providers at currently two sites
• Ownership and operational management of access control, video management, and alarm management systems, including coordination and support of internal and external security and technology service providers
• Support in the planning and delivery of physical security awareness initiatives
• Monitoring, optimization, and troubleshooting of security infrastructure
• Ensuring 24/7 operational readiness of the security organization
• Incident response responsibilities, including analysis and handling of security incidents, escalation, and initiation and execution of investigations
• Responsibility for the development, adaptation, implementation, and compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for security personnel

Education and experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Security Management is preferred; alternatively, a completed vocational qualification as Certified Master for Protection and Security (IHK), or at least Specialist for Protection and Security (FSSK) or Certified Protection and Security Professional (GSSK), combined with relevant professional experience and additional security-related training
• Several years of professional experience in operational and/or tactical security operations
• Sound knowledge of the installation and operation of security technologies, including access control systems, video surveillance, detection systems, and IT networks
• Experience in manufacturing or high-tech environments, ideally in an international setting
• Proven experience in coordinating and managing external security service providers
• Fluency in German and very good command of English, both written and spoken

Als Operational Security Specialist wirst du Teil unseres Corporate Real Estate Teams und arbeitest hauptsächlich am Standort Berlin im Bereich der physischen Sicherheitsoperationen. Mit deinem Einsatz stellst du die täglichen operativen Abläufe sicher und trägst dazu bei, ASML widerstandsfähig gegenüber internen und externen Bedrohungen zu machen – immer mit dem Ziel, Menschen, Eigentum und Wissen zu schützen.

Deine Aufgaben

• Enge und vertrauensvolle Zusammenarbeit mit dem Physical Security Operations Manager wie auch dem globalen Security-Team zur Umsetzung der ASML-Standards für Sicherheitsinfrastruktur und -technologie
• Proaktive Identifikation und Umsetzung von Sicherheitsmaßnahmen, inkl. Risikoanalyse und Entwicklung von Minderungsstrategien
• Operative Verantwortung für den Sicherheitskontrollraum (Organisation und Überwachung der Leitstelle sowie Alarmmanagement) und Steuerung und Kontrolle des externen Sicherheitsdienstleisters an aktuell zwei Standorten
• Betreuung und Verantwortung für den Betrieb des Zutritts- und Videomanagement- bzw. Alarmmanagementsystem und Koordination und Unterstützung von internen und externen Sicherheits- und Technologiedienstleistern
• Unterstützung und Vorbereitung von Awareness-Maßnahmen zur physischen Sicherheit
• Kontrolle und Optimierung der Sicherheitsinfrastruktur sowie Fehlerbehebung
• Sicherstellung des 24/7-Betriebs der Sicherheitsorganisation
• Incident Response: Analyse und Bearbeitung von Sicherheitsvorfällen, inklusive Eskalation und Einleitung und Umsetzung von Untersuchungen
• Verantwortung für die Entwicklung, Anpassung, Umsetzung und Einhaltung von Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) für Sicherheitskräfte

Deine Qualifikationen

• Bachelorabschluss im Bereich Sicherheitsmanagement wünschenswert, alternativ eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Meister für Schutz und Sicherheit (IHK) oder mindestens Fachkraft für Schutz und Sicherheit (FSSK) oder Geprüfte Schutz- und Sicherheitskraft (GSSK) mit einschlägiger Berufserfahrung und zusätzlicher Weiterbildungen im Bereich Sicherheit.
• Mehrjährige Berufserfahrung in operativen/taktischen Sicherheitsoperationen
• Kenntnisse in Installation und Betrieb von Sicherheitstechnologien (Zutrittskontrolle, Videoüberwachung, Detektionssysteme, IT-Netzwerke)
• Erfahrung in Fertigungs- oder Hightech-Umgebungen, idealerweise international.
• Nachweisbare Erfahrung in der Koordination von Sicherheitsdienstleistern
• Fließende Deutschkenntnisse sowie sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
