Introduction

The Chief Data Office (CDO) at ASML enables data-driven decision-making across the organization. Within CDO, the Data, Communication and Literacy team helps colleagues understand and use data effectively through clear communication. As an intern, you will help translate data topics into engaging visual stories. Your work will support daily communication, literacy initiatives, and employee engagement across ASML. This internship offers hands-on experience at the intersection of communication, design, and data.

Your assignment

In this internship, you will support internal communication and learning initiatives focused on data and AI topics. You will work closely with experienced team members while developing your own skills in storytelling and design. Your contribution will help make data more accessible to colleagues across ASML. Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Create clear and engaging visual materials such as presentations and infographics

  • Support the development of data literacy and awareness content

  • Assist in producing multimedia content, including short videos or explainers

  • Contribute to storytelling that makes complex topics easy to understand

  • Help maintain and update internal communication materials and platforms

  • Support the organization of internal events and communication moments

  • Collaborate with team members to improve communication effectiveness


This is a bachelor or master internship (non thesis) for minimum 5 months, minimum 4 days per week (hybrid). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.


Your profile

To be suitable for the internship, you:

  • Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in communication science, media design, journalism, data visualization, information design, or business administration with a communication focus

  • Have an interest in data, storytelling, and digital communication

  • Show affinity with visual design or multimedia content creation

  • Work in a structured and detail-oriented way

  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with others


This internship gives you the opportunity to build practical skills and grow your expertise. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects while learning in a supportive environment.


Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;

  • Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;

  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.

  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
