Job Description
Introduction
The Indirect Procurement department at ASML drives data-informed sourcing decisions across global operations. Within this department, the Engineering, Research & Development outsourcing services team focuses on improving transparency and performance in outsourced R&D activities. This internship contributes to strengthening decision-making by transforming procurement data into actionable insights. You will help enhance existing tools and build new dashboards that support stakeholders worldwide. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of data, business, and innovation.
Your assignment
In this internship, you will support the team by improving data visibility and enabling more effective procurement decisions. You will work with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into clear insights and data solutions. Your main responsibilities will be:
Improve an existing data analysis tool used by the team
Design and build a dashboard to visualize key performance indicators
Analyze procurement data and identify trends and improvement opportunities
Gather and translate business requirements into data-driven solutions
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate insights and dashboard usability
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs
This is a bachelor or master internship with a minimum duration of 6 months. The internship is fulltime (5 days per week, with 2–3 days on-site in Veldhoven). Flexibility for academic obligations is offered, and thesis students are welcomed. The start date of this internship is projected at the end August 2026.
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are a bachelor’s or master’s student in business administration, data analytics, industrial engineering, information technology, or a related field
Have experience with Excel and data analysis, and hands-on experience with dashboarding tools such as Power BI or Spotfire
Have an interest in procurement and business topics
Are proactive and structured, and able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders to understand, challenge, and translate business needs into clear data insights and dashboards
Are able to communicate clearly and professionally in English
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
