Asia Treasury Operation Specialist

We are looking for a treasury professional with solid experience in cash management, financial risk management, foreign exchange (FX) operations, bank account administration, and bank reconciliation. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of multinational business operations and can translate business needs into efficient treasury processes while ensuring compliance and robust internal controls.

You will bring a hands-on, pragmatic approach to driving continuous process improvements, actively engage with stakeholders across multiple regions, and support the ongoing transition to our future ERP landscape.

Banking Operations & Administration

• Serve as the E-Banking System Administrator for Citibank and local banking platforms, including KEB Hana Bank, Bank of China (BOC), SMBC, and HSBC.
• Maintain banking system master data, S-File updates, access rights, user profiles, and payment templates.
• Configure and implement new payment workflows, user access profiles, and payment templates (e.g., payroll payments) in existing and newly established banking platforms.
• Coordinate and manage bank account opening, modification, and closure processes.
• Liaise with banking partners and local stakeholders regarding system maintenance, applications, and operational issues.
• Review and approve payment templates and reactivate blocked users when required.

Foreign Exchange (FX) Operations

• Prepare FX conversion documentation, including supporting documents from SAP, documentation packages, and required approvals.
• Verify and confirm FX transaction nature codes and maintain accurate transaction logs.
• Validate and confirm FX deals through email correspondence or call-back procedures in accordance with internal controls.
• Support manual payment arrangements, payment cancellations, and related treasury activities.
• Coordinate FX transactions for Japan and support cross-border transaction reporting requirements, including Bank of Japan reporting.

Cash Management & Reconciliation

• Monitor daily and weekly cash positions to ensure sufficient liquidity and accurate processing of treasury transactions.
• Lead bank account reconciliation activities, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are investigated and resolved in a timely manner.
• Perform weekly and monthly bank statement uploads and support monthly bank balance reporting.
• Prepare and maintain monthly bank statement reconciliation reports.
• Collaborate with banking partners and internal IT teams to resolve bank posting and interface issues.

Treasury Accounting & Month-End Closing

• Lead month-end treasury accounting activities, including clearing account reconciliation and treasury-related journal entries.
• Investigate and clear unidentified or outstanding transactions on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Support statutory audits by providing bank statements, bank confirmations, interest withholding tax documentation, and other treasury-related audit requirements.

Process Improvement & Projects

• Perform root cause analysis for treasury-related operational and technical issues involving collections, payments, and intercompany transactions.
• Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within treasury operations.
• Lead and participate in treasury-related projects involving cash management, banking infrastructure, and process optimization.
• Support treasury initiatives related to ERP transformation and system enhancements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Accounting, or Finance functions within an international business environment.
• Solid understanding of treasury operations, financial accounting principles, and internal controls.
• Experience with end-to-end business processes (e.g., Market-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report) within an SAP environment.
• Professional accounting or treasury certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CTP) is considered an advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
