# Moment Energy Want to save the world? So do we. That’s why we started Moment Energy, a cleantech company that’s helping to build a sustainable economy through battery energy storage systems made from repurposed electric vehicle batteries. We keep people’s lights on, and their batteries from ending up in landfills. As an impact-driven organization, Moment's goal is to provide a reliable and environmentally friendly battery energy storage system for our customers. We’re the only Canadian company working with Nissan North America, Mercedes Benz Energy and other world renowned automakers to repurpose their EV batteries. We're a proud Canadian-owned and operated company founded by four tech entrepreneurs, with a mission to provide worldwide access to clean, reliable and affordable power. Our solution helps off-grid customers reduce diesel consumption and transition to renewables, and also provides peak shaving and backup power for commercial and industrial customers. Moment Energy was recognized as the Grand Prize Winner of the 2021 National Impact Investor Challenge held by Spring Activator in June 2021. On October 4th, 2021, we placed third in the 2021 New Ventures BC Competition, British Columbia’s largest annual tech startup competition. We’re a fast-paced, VC-funded company backed by major Canadian and US Venture Capital and Climate Funds including Version One Ventures and Fika Ventures. **Headquarters:** Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada **Founded:** 2019 **Employees:** ~49 **Founder:** Edward Chiang, Gabriel Soares, Gurmesh Sidhu, Sumreen Rattan **Website:** https://momentenergy.com/ **Focus areas:** Energy, Renewables & Environment, Battery, Manufacturing, Renewable Energy, CleanTech **Open positions:** 27 [View all jobs at Moment Energy](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-companies/moment-energy) --- ## Open Positions (27) - [Certification Engineer Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/certification-engineer-co-op-4475608009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Mechanical (Thermal/Vibration) Test Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/mechanical-thermal-vibration-test-engineer-4470193009) -- Surrey, BC | Other - [Materials Handler](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/materials-handler-4468757009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Operations - [Human Resources Manager](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/human-resources-manager-4463377009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Operations - [Senior Reliability Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/senior-reliability-engineer-4455132009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Electrical Test Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/electrical-test-engineer-4455135009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Test Engineering Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/test-engineering-co-op-4455115009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Early Careers Recruiter](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/early-careers-recruiter-4444733009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Operations - [Director of Marketing](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/director-of-marketing-4238528009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Battery Evaluation Lead](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/battery-evaluation-lead-4291258009) -- Austin, TX | Full Time | Other - [Software Engineering Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/software-engineering-co-op-4434577009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Production Lead Hand](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/production-lead-hand-4434588009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Manufacturing - [Mechanical Engineering Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/mechanical-engineer-co-op-4434573009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Electrical Engineering Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/electrical-engineering-co-op-4434560009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Data Scientist Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/data-scientist-co-op-4421775009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Manufacturing Engineering Co-op](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/manufacturing-engineer-co-op-4420541009) -- Surrey, BC | Internship | Other - [Inventory Controller](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/inventory-controller-4387469009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Operations - [Regulatory & Certification Affairs Principal](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/regulatory-certification-affairs-principal-4384755009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Lead Systems Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/lead-systems-engineer-4384742009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Senior Power Electronics Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/senior-power-electronics-engineer-4364306009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Production Technician](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/assembly-associate-4355533009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Manufacturing - [Senior Firmware Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/senior-firmware-engineer-4238530009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Sales Operations Specialist](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/sales-operations-specialist-4238946009) -- Surrey, BC | Contract | Other - [Head of People](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/head-of-people-4238520009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | People - [General Resume Submission](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/general-resume-submission-4238534009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Executive Assistant](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/executive-assistant-4254589009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other - [Electrical Systems Architect](https://zerogtalent.com/frontier-jobs/moment-energy/electrical-systems-architect-4238522009) -- Surrey, BC | Full Time | Other --- *Source: [Zero G Talent](https://zerogtalent.com), the job board for space, defense, AI, robotics and frontier-tech companies.*
