Job Description
We're looking for our first founding engineer to help build a new category of endpoint security for AI workloads. We're already in production across 1,000+ enterprise endpoints, surfacing tens of thousands of actionable security issues across the agents and MCP servers our customers run. You'll work directly with the founders and alongside our existing team, on the core product, across the full stack, on problems that don't have established answers yet.
This is a senior, hands-on role on a small team with a high bar. You'll have real input on what we build and deep ownership of how it gets built.
What you'll do
- Own a meaningful part of the product end-to-end
- Work across our surfaces: the cross-platform endpoint agent, the policy-enforcement proxy, TraceGraph, and our security research pipeline
- Prototype across AI/LLM integrations, endpoint detection, and security tooling, then harden into production
- Talk to real users and let their feedback drive what you build next
What we're looking for
- Strong engineer who can work across our stack (Go and Node.js)
- Has shipped and owned production systems, ideally at a startup
- Comfortable working with LLMs and APIs
- Interested in security, or a fast enough learner to go deep quickly
- Fluent with AI coding tools, and understands every line they ship
- Can take a project from idea to production independently and turn a rough direction into shipped product
- Bonus: experience with endpoints (macOS, Windows, Linux) or browser extensions
As our first founding engineer, you'll have more influence over the product and company than anyone we hire after you, with the ownership and equity to match, and your code will run at real enterprises within weeks.

About Traceforce
AI apps such as ChatGPT and Claude have become part of everyone's daily workflow, but they introduce new security risks that traditional security tools weren't built to handle. Security teams at companies from startups to Fortune 500s, are struggling to keep up. Traceforce gives a company’s security team visibility of how AI apps are being used across company’s devices, and the ability to detect and prevent security breaches and unsafe actions as early as possible.
