About the Role
As a Test Engineer II at Sierra Space, you will utilize your knowledge and experience to contribute to the testing and validation of aerospace systems and components. You will participate in the planning, execution, and documentation of Verification and Validation (V&V) activities. This role requires strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams to solve technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.About You

Key Responsibilities:
Developing, scheduling, executing, and documenting test events to Verify and Validate (V&V) aerospace systems and components
Develop products such as test plans, procedures, and scripts to support test execution
Identify and define necessary test support equipment
Generate test execution reports to show traceability of V&V
Ensure compliance with system requirements through V&V activities
Apply strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices throughout the test planning and execution phase
Apply logical troubleshooting techniques and documentation to resolve testing issues
Effectively coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams to design and develop appropriate test products
Prepare preliminary cost and schedule estimates for test activities
Manage adherence to program budgets/schedule throughout test development and execution phases
Identify and elevate test development or execution schedule risks
Create and present information effectively to team members and senior engineers
Identify process gaps and work to implement solutions
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
Typically 2+ years of related experience
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Working knowledge of Product and Quality Assurance principles and experience with generation and disposition of product non-conformances
Ability to read/interpret schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical troubleshooting techniques
Basic experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies
Exposure to and execution of complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance with system requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Jira
Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
Strong organizational skills with ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities effectively
Demonstrated eagerness to learn and apply new concepts in test engineering
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Effective teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams
Strong communication skills to clearly and effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences
Strong problem-solving abilities with focus on practical technical solutions

Compensation:
Pay Range:
$91,158.00 - $125,364.00Your actual base compensation will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge and skills, education, experience, internal equity and market competitiveness.
