The Multi-Domain Assured Navigation & Timing Applications (MANTA) group within the Mission Critical Products organization is hiring an Senior Systems Engineer to join our Maritime PNT organization in support of the Global Positioning System (GPS)-Based Positioning, Navigation and Timing Service (GPNTS) program. The Maritime PNT organization is an exciting and challenging environment where you will have the opportunity to collaborate across disciplines to shape innovative solutions for our US Navy customer.
What You Will Do
• Review and analyze the system level requirements to perform the following tasks:
• Develop verifiable system level requirements
• Develop/execute test plans, verification and or acceptance test procedures, development of scripts (preferably Python) as well as utilization/configuration of test equipment and tools such as GPS simulators to verify system requirements and prove compliance
• Manage updates and timely release of CDRLs/SDRLs, contributing to improvement in documentation cycle time and customer satisfaction
• Contribute to technical interchange meetings and design reviews (TRR, PDR, CDR)
• Provide verbal and written status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks
Qualifications You Must Have
• Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Experience in Agile development and usage of Agile framework tools such as JIRA/Confluence
• Proficient in DOORS NG
• Working knowledge of SE fundamentals with ability to work with all engineering disciplines and program management
• Familiarity with EVMS, ETCs, and ECPs
• Ability to visualize system functionality, to create block diagrams, and to analyze system performance via analysis of customer requirements specification
• Working knowledge of industry standards such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, for airworthiness, ARINC and RTCA standards are preferred
• Experience in System, Software, and hardware Requirements management/traceability/allocation
• Experience in RF signal processing
• Experience with commercial test equipment (e.g. DMM, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Logic Analyzer
• Experience working in a Development, System Test and Sell-off, involving Hardware/Software
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Active and transferable SECRET clearance is required prior to start date
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
• Minimum 5 years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains: RF/IR signal processing, electronics, navigation (GPS or Inertial), modeling, and simulation (for example 6-DOF), aerodynamics, missile related mechanical engineering (flight control systems, warheads, missile structures, seeker gimbals, RF/IR seeker sub-systems)
• Understanding of guidance and navigation systems and relevant experience with GPS Receiver system design, integration, test, verification, and validation
• Experience with Test Equipment/Tools, Technical Reviews and Production Readiness
• Familiarity in sub system or systems architecting and system-of-systems definition
• Familiarity with MOSA/SOSA/VITA/FACE standards
• Must be able to write clear engineering documentation

The salary range for this role is 95,500 USD - 181,700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
