About the Role

Government App Builder (GAB) is a low-code/no-code platform that enables state and local governments to design and deploy solutions for grants management, disaster preparedness and recovery, capital planning, and project management.

We are seeking an Implementation Analyst (IA) to support the successful delivery of GAB implementations by executing configuration, scripting, and solution design under the guidance of OpenGov technical leads. This role plays a critical part in translating customer requirements into functional applications, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and repeatable implementations.

The IA will work closely with Implementation Consultants (ICs), Project Managers (PMs), and customers to build, test, and refine solutions—contributing directly to faster delivery, stronger product adoption, and long-term customer success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute customer implementations by configuring workflows, forms, and system logic within the GAB platform under the direction of technical leads

  • Translate business requirements into functional configurations, scripts, and system designs

  • Support data setup, validation, and transformation to ensure accuracy and usability

  • Assist in building and maintaining integrations (APIs, data connections) where applicable

  • Participate in daily working sessions with internal leads to review progress, receive feedback, and iterate quickly

  • Validate deliverables against defined acceptance criteria to ensure quality and consistency

  • Document configurations, business logic, and implementation patterns for reuse and scalability

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Adoption) to surface feedback and improve the platform

  • Support customer training and enablement by helping prepare environments and materials

What You’ll Work On

  • Configuration of government workflows (grants, capital projects, 311/CRM, etc.)

  • Business logic implementation and process automation

  • Light scripting and customization

  • Data modeling and reporting setup

  • API-based integrations and system connectivity (where applicable)

Required Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in software implementation, technical consulting, or a related client-facing role

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

  • Experience working with structured data (Excel, CSVs, etc.) and performing basic data transformations

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate closely with technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Public Administration)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with scripting or web technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, or CSS

  • Basic understanding of REST APIs, integrations, or system interoperability

  • Exposure to version control tools such as Git/GitHub

  • Experience with or interest in modern development tools (e.g., Cursor, Codex, Claude Code)

  • Experience working with government systems, workflows, or public sector clients

  • Familiarity with reporting tools, SQL, or data visualization platforms

  • GIS experience is a plus

What Success Looks Like

  • Consistently delivers high-quality configurations aligned to acceptance criteria

  • Quickly ramps on GAB platform capabilities and implementation patterns

  • Effectively partners with ICs and PMs to accelerate delivery timelines

  • Contributes to reusable assets, documentation, and best practices

  • Helps reduce implementation time while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction
