As a Flight Software Test V&V Engineer on the Test & Infrastructure team, you will play a critical role in verifying and validating autonomous aircraft software prior to flight. The team is responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining the simulation and test infrastructure required to ensure system performance, safety, and certification readiness.
This role focuses on validating flight software across multiple integrated environments, including Software-in-the-Loop (SITL), Hardware-in-the-Loop (HITL), and on-aircraft systems, ensuring robust performance under both nominal and off-nominal conditions.
Key Skills
Strong analytical thinking and debugging capability
Systems-level understanding of integrated hardware/software environments
Attention to detail in test execution and documentation
Effective communication across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Key Responsibilities
Verify flight software functionality across SIL, HITL, and on-aircraft test environments
Develop and execute test plans aligned with system requirements and certification objectives
Author detailed test procedures for ground and flight test operations
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts within the test ecosystem
Support functional, integration, and requirements-based testing for certification readiness
Contribute to scalable and repeatable automated test frameworks
Support the development and maintenance of simulation and test infrastructure
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components in lab environments
Ensure fidelity and reliability of integrated test systems
