Deployment Lead | Navy Sustainment
Job Description
What We Do
Gecko Robotics is helping the world’s most important organizations ensure the availability, reliability, and sustainability of critical infrastructure. Gecko's complete and connected solutions combine wall-climbing robots, industry-leading sensors, and an AI-powered data platform to provide customers with a unique window into the current and future health of their physical assets. This enables real-time decision making to increase the efficiency and safety of operations, promote mission readiness, and protect the environment and civilization from the effects of infrastructure failure.
Role at a Glance
Deployment Leads at Gecko Robotics are the driving force behind delivering mission impact to the U.S. Navy Surface Fleet. This role sits at the intersection of customer value, product strategy, and execution, acting as the connective tissue between Navy stakeholders and Gecko’s robotics and AI platform.
As a Navy Sustainment Deployment Lead, you will own high-impact deployments focused on improving fleet readiness, availability execution, and lifecycle decision-making. You will lead cross-functional teams to deploy Gecko’s technology across shipyards, maintenance activities, and operational commands—ensuring outcomes that directly improve surface fleet resilience.
This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing role where you will operate across NAVSEA, SEA21, PAE Maritime, and other fleet stakeholders to solve complex sustainment challenges at scale.
Why This Role Matters
The U.S. Navy is facing a readiness challenge driven by maintenance backlogs, aging platforms, and limited industrial base capacity. Gecko’s robotics and AI platform provides a new foundation for understanding and managing asset health at scale—enabling faster inspections, predictive insights, and better decisions.
In this role, you will directly shape how the Navy transitions from reactive maintenance to data-driven sustainment—impacting the readiness of the entire surface fleet.
What you will do
Own Surface Fleet Deployments
Serve as the primary owner of high-impact Navy deployments, ensuring delivery of measurable readiness outcomes for SURFPAC and SURFLANT
Drive execution from initial problem definition through delivery across availabilities, maintenance cycles, and modernization efforts
Translate Gecko’s platform into operational and strategic value for Navy stakeholders
Lead Availability Execution
Work with Product Strategists and Engineering to build and scale the structural health model as a foundational data layer across the fleet
Reduce growth work and schedule risk at the depot and shipyard level
Establish authoritative structural condition baselines using robotic inspection and executed work
Forecast degradation and inform Availability Work Packages (AWPs) and maintenance planning
Lead Teams and Execution
Lead cross-functional teams of Forward Deployed Engineers, operators, and analysts
Partner with Product and Engineering to shape solutions that scale across the fleet
Navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum in complex environments
Own Customer Relationships
Act as the primary point of contact for Navy customers post-award
Build trust across technical, operational, and senior leadership stakeholders
Manage expectations, communicate progress, and expand mission impact over time
What Success Looks Like
Measurable reduction in maintenance delays and growth work across availabilities
Increased accuracy in structural and HM&E forecasting
Adoption of Gecko’s platform as a core sustainment decision tool
Improved fleet readiness, availability, and resilience
