ABOUT THE TEAM
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Revenue Analyst with deep expertise in Oracle Fusion Projects to join our dynamic Contract-To-Cash team. This critical role is responsible for the accurate and timely recognition of project-based revenue, costs, and margins, playing a pivotal role in translating operational project performance into financial statement results. The Senior Revenue Analyst will leverage Oracle Fusion Projects to manage the end-to-end project accounting lifecycle, including the review and analysis of Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) templates provided by business partners. This individual will act as a key liaison, bridging the gap between Business Line FP&A teams and Corporate Accounting to ensure financial results accurately reflect project execution and strategy.
ABOUT THE JOB
The Senior Revenue Analyst will also process and transact product, service, and equipment leasing contracts by monitoring contract fulfillment activity and insuring proper recognition of revenue and costs under a variety of contract terms and conditions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Manage and oversee the comprehensive accounting for project revenue, costs, margins, and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) templates within Oracle Fusion Projects.
- Ensure compliance with ASC 606 revenue recognition standards and internal company policies and procedures.
- Review, monitor, and refine Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) templates and models regularly for complex, long-term projects.
- Collaborate extensively with Project Managers, Business Line FP&A, and Fulfillment teams to gather and validate product and service fulfillment data, progress milestones, and scope changes.
- Analyze EAC inputs and outcomes and ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and procedures regarding project cost estimations and progress to completion.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual project revenue and margin reports, providing insightful commentary on performance drivers and trends.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting to support strategic decision-making by senior management and FP&A.
- Act as a key liaison and subject matter expert for Business Line FP&A teams, providing clarity on Oracle Fusion Projects requirements, project accounting results, revenue recognition methodologies, and EAC impacts.
- Translate complex project accounting concepts into digestible information for non-financial stakeholders.
- Serve as a primary power user and subject matter expert for Oracle Fusion Projects, particularly its project costing, billing, and revenue modules.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and system enhancements within project accounting workflows.
- Participate in system testing, upgrades, and configuration changes related to Oracle Fusion Projects.
- Support external audit requests by providing documentation and explanations related to project revenue, costs, and EAC calculations.
- Ensure robust internal controls are maintained within the project accounting function.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification or Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 4+ years of progressive experience in project accounting, revenue recognition, or financial analysis, specifically within a project-based environment (e.g., professional services, construction, aerospace & defense, software implementation).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Projects (or Oracle EBS Projects) including project setup, costing, billing, and revenue recognition modules. Salesforce experience is also preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) with specific expertise in ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers). IFRS 15 knowledge is a plus.
- Proven experience in developing, maintaining, and analyzing Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) models.
-
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, data modeling).
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, building strong relationships with project managers, sales, FP&A, and corporate accounting.
