ABOUT THE TEAM
The Industrial Security team is a highly specialized security team responsible for managing Anduril’s cleared personnel, classified programs, and secure facilities. We operate at the intersection of cutting-edge defense technology and stringent security requirements, ensuring the integrity and protection of national security. Our team is composed of experts in security management, compliance, risk assessment, and physical security, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of security in support of national and international defense initiatives while providing the best customer service, both within Anduril and externally.
ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Regional Facility Security Officer (FSO) to lead industrial security operations across our East Coast footprint. This critical leadership role will be responsible for overseeing a team of Facility Security Officers (FSOs), ensuring stringent compliance with national security regulations, and acting as a strategic partner to our business lines. The Regional FSO will serve as the primary security expert for the region, driving compliance, mitigating risks, and contributing to the strategic growth and security posture of the company.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Regional FSO Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Facility Security Officers (FSOs) across the East Coast region, fostering a culture of compliance, best practices, and continuous improvement.
- NISPOM Compliance: Ensure rigorous adherence to 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual - NISPOM) rules and regulations across all assigned facilities, maintaining impeccable security records and practices.
- Standard Practices & Procedures (SPP): Oversee and verify compliance with our Standard Practices and Procedure (SPP) requirements for all relevant classified programs within the region.
- DCSA Readiness: Prepare facilities for DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) and inspections, proactively identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, ensuring successful outcomes, and managing post-inspection actions.
- Strategic Up-channeling: Serve as the primary liaison between regional FSOs and the Deputy Director of Industrial Security, providing timely and accurate upchanneling of critical information, risks, and regional insights.
- Business Integration: Actively engage with business line leaders, program managers, and contracts teams to understand current and future security requirements, integrating security considerations early in the program lifecycle for all East Coast contracts.
- FSO Coverage: Provide direct FSO support and coverage as needed during FSO absences, staffing transitions, or high-workload periods, ensuring uninterrupted security operations and compliance.
- Project Management: Lead and execute strategic projects and initiatives for the broader Industrial Security team, driving efficiency, innovation, and standardization across the organization.
- Regional Insight & Forecasting: Serve as the regional focal point for all industrial security matters, providing clear, concise, and actionable insights into Area of Responsibility (AOR) challenges and opportunities, and proactively forecasting potential security issues or regulatory changes.
- Cross-functional Security Integration: Act as a key liaison and ensure seamless coordination and information sharing with Cyber Assurance, Classified IT, InfoSec, Physical/Corporate Security, Counterintelligence, Insider Threat, and other relevant internal departments to foster a holistic and integrated security posture across the region.
- Secure Space Development: Work with the construction security team by participating in the planning and design of new secure facilities by ensuring compliance with 32 CFR, Part 117 NISPOM requirements, and preparing for DCSA accreditation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements and best practices to enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of industrial security operations in the region.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission of the Industrial Security department.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
- 8-10+ years of progressive experience in industrial security, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role overseeing multiple FSOs or facilities.
- Current and active Top Secret (TS) clearance.
- Expert-level knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) 32 CFR Part 117, DCSA industrial security policies, and other relevant security directives (e.g., ICDs).
- Demonstrated experience with classified program management.
- Proven track record of successfully preparing facilities for DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments (SVAs) and inspections.
- Strong understanding of secure facility construction and accreditation processes for OSAs.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, management, and government officials.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in security management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel frequently (up to 25%) within the East Coast region, and occasionally nationwide.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Security Professional (CSP) or Industrial Security Professional (ISP) certification.
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
