Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Space Systems Schedule Deployment & Unified Planning Leader to join our  Department  based in Toulouse, France.


You will be responsible for both strategic governance (schedule adherence KPIs, PMT methodologies, and stakeholder management) and tactical execution (coordinating UP coaches, managing training environments, and providing direct project support to ensure maximum schedule data quality).

Your Challenges

 Governance, Methodology (Process Methods Tools) & Quality Assurance

  • Define, supervise, and drive the evolution of the Schedule Performance Measurement at both project and functional levels.
  • Establish a robust governance process for the review, approval, and communication of updates made to the PMT methodology.
  • Define and audit a list of Schedule Adherence KPIs to guarantee high-quality schedule data (covering content, frequency, communication, and action plans).
  • Maintain and update monthly business reports (e.g., Qlik) and prepare data for Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) linked to schedule performance.

Unified Planning (UP) Deployment Coordination

  • Act as the primary connection between the Central UP Coach, Project Management Offices (PMO), Cross-Program teams, and the Division to ensure continuous deployment of UP processes and tools.
  • Directly coordinate UP-Coaches and lead the weekly technical meetings.
  • Lead the coordination of Key-Users network.
  • Manage the tracking and reporting of incidents, business requests, and the rollout of new tool evolutions (Releases & Follow-up).

Training UP&WAPITI

  • Design and update the training catalog to focus on specific user perimeters and roles (Project level, WP level, Resource Manager, or UP Coach).
  • Set up and handle the right administration of requested training environments for UP & WAPITI tools
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge sharing and documentation across collaborative platforms (Confluence, GOOGLE site TSZX, and "How do I" guides).
  • Deliver specific project training and conduct awareness sessions for new processes, documents, or onboarding paths for newcomers.

Project Support & Turnaround Sustainability for Schedule implementation

  • Support project teams during kickoff phases (Weekly meetings for KO project deployment in UP).
  • Perform schedule maturity and quality checks on schedule info, collecting feedback from PMOs and Integrated Planning Managers (IPM)
  • Coach IPMs, PMOs, and PMs to successfully pass Schedule Maturity gates (such as GML, L3/WPM).
  • Collaborate actively in schedule improvement projects (Turnaround/WP2.1) and provide directives/priorities to UP coaches regarding baseline management.

Your Profil

  • Experience: Proven track record in Programme/Project Management (PMO, Schedule Management, or similar environments).
  • Transverse Leadership: Demonstrated ability to influence, coordinate, and align multicultural and cross-functional teams without direct hierarchical authority.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, essential for delivering training and managing key stakeholder expectations.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong conceptual and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data management, process optimization, and KPI implementation.
  • Languages: Proficiency in English is mandatory (written and spoken).
  • Tools (Desirable): Familiarity with Confluence, Google Sites, data visualization software (Qlik), tools (Wapiti& UP), and Agile project management methodologies.

> Additional Job Requirements

  • Travel: Business travel will be required occasionally within Europe.
  • Security: This position requires eligibility for security clearance.

This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
