Fewer than one in ten people in the United Kingdom receive professional financial advice each year, largely because delivering FCA-compliant holistic advice costs an advisory firm roughly £2,000 per client. [Saturn](https://zerogtalent.com/ai-companies/saturn) wants to bring that servicing cost down toward £200. Founded in 2023, the London-based company builds an AI operating system designed to automate compliance, administrative workflows, and paraplanning tasks for wealth management and advice firms.

The startup, which completed Y Combinator's S24 batch, has raised $17.7M in total funding, capped by a $15M Series A round led by European venture capital firm Singular, with participation from Shapers, Y Combinator, and Zeno Ventures, as reported by [Tech Funding News](https://techfundingnews.com/london-saturn-raises-15m-series-a-to-cut-financial-advice-costs-ai/). Its platform already serves more than 600 advisory firms, consolidators, and networks—including Progeny, Hoxton Wealth, Perspective Financial Group, and Insight Financial Associates—supporting over 6,500 advisers and drawing more than 2,000 daily active users.

## Unifying Back-Office Workflows and Compliance

Saturn builds software that tackles fragmentation across advisory firms' technology stacks. Rather than functioning as a standalone customer relationship management tool or a basic transcription plug-in, the system integrates with existing back-office systems, planning software, and repositories such as Microsoft SharePoint.

As reported by [Money Marketing](https://www.moneymarketing.co.uk/news/saturn-unveils-ai-operating-system-to-cut-advice-costs/), Saturn developed an operating system, codenamed Project OS, to pull client data into a persistent client memory used across the full advice journey. The platform automates suitability reports, client meeting documentation, customer onboarding, and pension transfer processing, reducing tasks that historically required four hours of paraplanning labor down to 20 minutes of adviser review.

Compliance remains central to the product architecture. Every document generated requires mandatory human adviser sign-off. Saturn’s system adapts to each firm’s specific policies and internal interpretations of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Consumer Duty rules. The engine evaluates calculations and challenges recommendations directly; testing at Equilibrium Financial Planning revealed that Saturn caught discrepancies regarding salary sacrifice and net relevant earnings that generic enterprise assistants overlooked, according to [Money Marketing](https://www.moneymarketing.co.uk/news/saturn-unveils-ai-operating-system-to-cut-advice-costs/).

To continue iterating on these pipelines, the company is looking for a [Data Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/ai-jobs/saturn/data-engineer-110201) and a [Senior Backend Engineer](https://zerogtalent.com/ai-jobs/saturn/senior-backend-engineer-107401) to support data persistence and compliance-rule engines.

## Leadership Across Wealth Management and AI Agents

Saturn was founded by three operators pairing wealth compliance domain knowledge with AI systems engineering:

- [Amal Jolly](https://zerogtalent.com/people/amal-jolly), CEO, brings a product and go-to-market background across banking, insurance, wealth and asset management, and capital markets technologies.
- [Rohit Vaish](https://zerogtalent.com/people/rohit-vaish), President, built investment portfolios at BNY Mellon over five years, where he led firm-wide compliance initiatives assessing value for money and client suitability for UK fund management before leading product and operations teams in tech startups.
- [Michael Ettlinger](https://zerogtalent.com/people/michael-ettlinger), CTO, has focused on AI agents and research since 2017 and previously shipped AI products reaching more than 20 million users.

The founding group has also engaged the broader developer community. As reported by [FT Adviser](https://www.ftadviser.com/content/909a3d52-cba9-4e31-81ec-afe28a6581d2), Saturn held a 25-hour London hackathon supported by AWS, Anthropic, Perplexity, and ElevenLabs. Over 1,000 applicants competed, building functional prototypes that automated letters of authority (LOA) chasing and paraplanner compliance file checking.
