Standing out

Blue Origin values hands-on project experience over GPA. CubeSat teams, Formula SAE, rocketry clubs, and personal engineering projects are strong differentiators. If you've built, tested, or launched hardware, emphasize it. Blue Origin's culture prioritizes "be builders" — show that you are one.

Intern experience

Interns are placed on real program teams working on flight hardware. The program includes:

  • Assigned mentor (full-time engineer)
  • Intern cohort events and networking
  • End-of-summer technical presentation
  • Tours of manufacturing facilities and test areas

Work-life balance during internships is generally 40-hour weeks, though some teams have occasional peaks.
