Job Description
Wolfia is a fast-growing, Y Combinator and Khosla Ventures-backed startup. We're an AI teammate for customer-facing grunt work: we answer security questionnaires, RFPs, and technical reviews for teams at ThoughtSpot, Miro, CircleCI, and Handshake. Think of the 400-question security review that eats your best engineer's week - we're the thing that answers it before lunch. Every week a questionnaire sits open is a week of stalled revenue, so companies ration their experts and skip deals where the review overhead kills the math. We bring the cost of an expert answer down by an order of magnitude, so our customers can sell into segments they couldn't before.
We're past product-market fit and growing fast. Every case study, launch, and piece of positioning so far has come from the founder. This role removes that ceiling.
The role
You'll be our first marketing hire, working directly with the founder. Your job is to find the sharpest version of our story and get it in front of the people who need to hear it.
This is a high ownership role. You'll touch everything from positioning to launches to how the founder shows up publicly, and you'll learn faster here than anywhere else you could go.
You'll own:
- Positioning and messaging. Who we're for, why we win, and how that shows up on the website, in the deck, and in every rep's mouth. We compete against legacy questionnaire tools and "we'll ask ChatGPT" - you'll make the difference obvious.
- Case studies and proof. Our customers say things like "this paid for itself in the first month." Turn that into a library of stories that closes deals.
- Launches. We ship fast. Every meaningful release gets a narrative, a landing page, a post, and follow-on content, sequenced so it keeps working for weeks after launch day.
- Sales enablement. Battle cards, one-pagers, objection handling. Give our GTM team a ready answer for every question they hear twice.
- Content engine. Blog, LinkedIn, newsletter. You write it yourself, with AI doing the heavy lifting, at a bar most companies struggle to match.
- Founder brand, events, and podcasts. Partner directly with the founder on events, podcasts, webinars, and founder-focused messaging. You find the stages worth being on, land them, and make sure what gets said there converts.
What success looks like in 6-12 months
- Messaging is crisp enough that a prospect can repeat our pitch back to us
- A case study library that GTM pulls from daily
- Launches that generate pipeline
- Inbound leads that cite our content as the reason they showed up
You
- 3-7 years in product marketing or content at a B2B SaaS company, ideally selling to sales, security, or technical buyers
- You've built a marketing function from scratch at an early-stage company
- Exceptional writer. Your writing gets shared and cited
- AI-native: you use AI daily to produce more, faster, and the output still sounds like you
- You get technical products. You can sit with an engineer, understand what shipped, and explain why it matters to a VP of Sales
- High ownership. You write the brief, ship the thing, and report what happened
Our values
Built to learn. Act like an owner. Bias for action. Hacker mindset. Show respect. Disagree and commit.
Interview Process
Our process is 2.5 hours total. We value your time and move fast.
- 15 min - background and goals, and how they align with what we're building at Wolfia
- 45 min - marketing deep dive: how you think about positioning, launches, and content
- 60 min - working session: pressure-test real Wolfia messaging with us
- 30 min - culture fit with our core values
If all goes well, a job offer with compensation and benefits will be sent by the end of the day.
