Design Engineer

What we’re building
Respan is building the self-driving observability and evals platform for AI teams, used by 60+ companies and hundreds of AI teams.

The role

You will sit at the intersection of design and frontend engineering, turning concepts into production-ready UI. This role is for someone who can go from a Figma file to a shipped feature without anything getting lost in translation.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build UI components, pages, and interactions end-to-end
• Own the design system implementation and ensure consistency across the product
• Collaborate with the designer on UX decisions and visual direction
• Prototype new features and interactions rapidly in code
• Push the bar on craft, animation, and micro-interactions across the platform

What you must have:

• Strong frontend skills with TypeScript, React, and modern CSS
• Eye for design with the ability to make independent visual decisions
• Experience building and maintaining component libraries or design systems

What is nice to have:

• Portfolio showing both design and engineering work
• Experience with animation libraries such as Framer Motion or CSS animations
• Proficiency in Figma or similar design tools
• Background in developer tools or B2B SaaS products
