Job Description
What you’ll do
- Maintain the core: agent orchestration + document pipelines + versioning
- Ship end-to-end: Go backend + React UI (you’ll touch everything)
- Make it reliable: evals, guardrails, observability (no demo-only systems)
- Turn customer pain into product fast (you’ll talk to users)
What we care about
- You’ve built and shipped real systems (Go/Rust preferred). You can own a subsystem.
- You’re strong on fundamentals: distributed systems, concurrency, performance
- You’ve shipped AI/LLM features in production, and you learn new things insanely fast and can prove it
- You have high attention to detail + high standards
- You have product taste: you notice UX/copy/states, not just code
- If you don’t know something, you figure it out in hours - not weeks
Nice to have: interest in biotech, healthtech, or any regulated industry
Research angle (optional)
We’re working on agent / domain-specific evals, new embeddings and indexing benchmarks, and may publish benchmarks / deep dives and submit to conferences / journals. If you want to help set standards for this space, there’s room.
Logistics
- NYC, in-person, 5 days/week (we build better together)
- Competitive base + founder-level equity (2–10%)
Apply: send (1) GitHub / past systems you built, and (2) one paragraph on why you’re interested in working at Raycaster to founders [at] raycaster.ai
Interview Process
45m technical → 60m deep dive → 90m pairing → 1-week paid work trial → founder chat
