Visual Storytelling & Innovation Lead, Office of the CRO
Job Description
About the team
The Office of the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) is responsible for orchestrating the global go-to-market (GTM) motion, driving scalable commercial growth, and deepening strategic customer relationships. The team ensures alignment across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Research—enabling the revenue organization to operate with clarity, speed, and cohesion.
Within this context, the Office of the CRO plays a critical role in translating strategy into execution, shaping how we engage with customers, and elevating how we show up across our most important moments—both internally and externally.
As the organization scales rapidly, the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity, consistency, and impact—and to operationalize emerging AI tools across the GTM organization—is becoming a critical unlock for growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Visual Storytelling & Innovation Lead to help shape and elevate how the Office of the CRO communicates and operates.
You will work at the intersection of storytelling, design, and innovation—owning high-impact executive narratives while also driving “customer zero” experimentation with emerging OpenAI technologies. This role complements the strategic and operational work of the Office of the CRO by focusing on how ideas are translated into clear, compelling stories and how new tools can unlock more effective and empowered ways of working.
This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with leadership across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Communications, and operates in close proximity to the CRO on some of the organization’s most visible and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CRO, translating strategic priorities into clear, high-impact narratives and executive-ready materials.
This role directly influences how OpenAI engages its most strategic customers, drives alignment across the revenue organization, and accelerates deal momentum through world-class storytelling and communication.
In this role you will:
Visual Storytelling & Executive Content
Lead narrative development and presentation design for CRO-led strategic events, executive briefings, and key customer engagements
Translate complex product, strategy, and customer insights into clear, compelling visual and written stories
Bring storytelling to life through product demos and interactive experiences—showcasing OpenAI capabilities in ways that are tangible, engaging, and memorable
Bring a strong point of view on what “great” looks like—raising the bar for craft in how ideas are communicated, experienced, and remembered
Work closely with the Chief of Staff to the CRO to translate strategic initiatives into clear, compelling narratives and executive-ready materials for internal and customer-facing moments
Customer Zero & Innovation
Lead “customer zero” adoption of OpenAI technologies—identifying, prototyping, and scaling high-impact use cases that transform how the CRO organization operates
Prototype and develop lightweight custom GPTs and internal apps that enhance productivity, unlock new workflows, and showcase how OpenAI technologies can be applied across the Office of the CRO & GTM teams
Develop narratives and examples that demonstrate how these technologies can be applied in real-world customer and internal contexts
Serve as a bridge between product capabilities and real-world GTM application, translating innovation into tangible business impact
External Voice & Thought Leadership
Partner closely with the CRO and Chief of Staff to shape how OpenAI’s GTM organization contributes to the broader conversation on AI, go-to-market transformation, and the future of work
Translate internal insights and customer learnings into thoughtful, differentiated perspectives
Help define how the Office of the CRO shows up externally through clear, consistent, and high-quality communication
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Research, and Communications to align messaging and deliver cohesive experiences
You might thrive in this role if you:
Have a strong track record of crafting high-quality narratives and presentations for executive audiences
Are exceptional at simplifying complex ideas into clear, compelling stories (both visually and in writing)
Thrive in ambiguous environments and can take ideas from concept to execution
Are highly detail-oriented with strong taste and a high bar for quality
Have experience working cross-functionally across go-to-market, product, or leadership teams
Are comfortable experimenting with new tools and technologies, particularly AI, to improve workflows and outcomes
Enjoy building new processes, frameworks, and approaches from the ground up
