Job Description
About the Team
OpenAI didn’t begin as a traditional company. It began as an idea: that artificial intelligence could be developed in a way that benefits everyone. As a creative team, our role is to help make sure the work behind that idea is understood, as it leaves the lab and meets the world.
This company works at the frontier of intelligence. Like any frontier, it’s unfinished, constantly shifting, and still being explored. Our job is to stay close to that uncertainty and help shape how this story gets told, in a way that feels grounded and human. We do this through campaigns, launches, films, brand systems, and work that doesn’t fit neatly into any of those categories yet. This team is for people who want to help shape something from the beginning.
About the Role
We are seeking a Performance Producer to operate at the intersection of quality, variety, and speed. This role sits within our Creative team and partners closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, Brand, Analytics, and regional teams to develop and scale high-performing creative programs globally. The producer will manage multiple parallel projects, making thoughtful trade-offs and driving viable solutions across timelines ranging from a day to several months. They will thrive in a small, nimble team, operating with a high degree of autonomy while overseeing high-volume, fast-moving work across internal teams, agencies, and production partners.
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of how creative and paid media influence one another in a test-and-learn environment. This producer will lead end-to-end creative production across performance marketing initiatives, helping teams translate audience insights, testing results, and performance data into the next wave of creative work. They will bring a proactive leadership style, strong operational rigor, and the ability to balance speed, experimentation, creative excellence, and brand integrity while building scalable production systems that enable effective global campaigns.
You'll thrive in this role if you
Have 10+ years of experience producing creative work within performance marketing, growth marketing, creative agencies, production studios, or technology companies.
Have deep experience managing performance creative programs across paid social, digital, video, display, and emerging channels, with a strong understanding of how creative drives acquisition, engagement, and conversion outcomes.
Have experience overseeing the full creative production lifecycle, from creative strategy and briefing through production, post-production, localization, trafficking, QA, and delivery.
Have successfully managed high-volume creative testing programs, balancing speed and iteration while maintaining exceptional creative quality and brand standards.
Have experience partnering closely with Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, Product, Analytics, Brand, Legal, Localization, and regional teams to deliver global campaigns at scale.
Have strong agency and vendor management experience, including leading external creative, production, media, and localization partners across multiple concurrent workstreams.
Have a working understanding of performance marketing metrics, experimentation frameworks, and creative optimization methodologies, and can translate insights into actionable creative recommendations.
Have experience producing across multiple formats including motion, animation, design systems, AI-generated content, live action, short-form video, paid social, and organic social.
Are comfortable making thoughtful trade-offs between speed, cost, risk, and creative ambition in fast-moving environments.
Thrive operating independently, navigating ambiguity, and driving projects forward with minimal oversight.
Nice to have
Experience supporting global consumer technology or SaaS products.
Familiarity with modern growth marketing practices, measurement frameworks, and attribution models.
Experience leveraging AI tools for creative development, production workflows, and content generation.
Strong understanding of international creative adaptation, localization, and regional marketing considerations.
A passion for experimentation and a test-and-learn approach to creative development.
A strategic perspective on how brand and performance marketing can work together to drive long-term business impact.
