Founding Account Executive

Job Description
Role Overview
As a Founding Account Executive, you’ll own the full sales cycle — from first touch to close.
You’ll work directly with the founders to close high-value deals, shape the sales motion, and define how this category is sold.
This is a builder role, not just an executor role.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle: outbound → discovery → demo → close
- Close mid-market and enterprise deals ($20K–$100K+ ACV)
- Build and manage your own pipeline (inbound + outbound)
- Partner with SDRs and founders to drive pipeline generation
- Run consultative sales processes around SEO, content, and AI search
- Help define messaging, positioning, and sales playbooks
- Work closely with product to provide customer feedback and influence roadmap
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline in CRM
- Consistently hit and exceed quota
What We’re Looking For
- 2–6 years of SaaS sales experience (MarTech, SEO, or growth tooling a plus)
- Proven track record closing $20K–$100K+ ACV deals
- Strong closer mentality — you know how to create urgency and drive decisions
- Comfortable selling a new, non-obvious category
- Highly competitive and motivated by revenue and commission
- Strong communication and storytelling ability
- Thrive in ambiguity and move fast without perfect structure
Nice to Have
- Experience selling to marketing, growth, or content teams
- Experience in SEO, content marketing, or analytics tools
- Startup or early-stage company experience
- Experience working closely with founders or building GTM motions
