Job Description
You'll be the founder's right hand and the person who makes the business actually run. Two big sides to it:
Get the clinics open and running well buildout, equipment, vendors, licensing, hiring the clinical team, and designing a patient experience that feels like Layers.
Build the software that runs them this is a huge part of the job. Booking, intake, results, scheduling, patient records, internal tools - you'll work closely with engineering and own a lot of the product. Almost everything about how a clinic runs well comes back to the product, and you'll help figure out what we build and how it works.
Plus the normal Chief of Staff stuff: scheduling, priorities, keeping the founder and company organized, and taking whatever's messy and undefined and getting it done.
What you'll own:
The clinics: get them from empty room to seeing patients: buildout, equipment, vendors, permits, compliance
The product: work with engineering on the software that runs everything: booking, intake, results, scheduling, records, internal tools. Help decide what we build.
The patient experience - design the whole journey, so every touchpoint feels considered
Hiring - own clinic-staff hiring end to end: sourcing, interviewing, onboarding
Brand & content - product marketing, social, growing the audience and waitlist
Operations - scheduling, priorities, and the systems that keep a growing team running
Who you are:
- A builder who turns ambiguity into a plan and a plan into a result, and would rather own the outcome than wait for direction
- Comfortable working with engineers and thinking in product: you can spec what a tool needs to do and push it to done
- Ferociously organized, nothing slips
- High standards for how things feel, in software and in person
- Comfortable in the physical world too - on-site with contractors, equipment, staff
-A strong writer and communicator
-Resourceful, fast, low-ego, trustworthy
Nice to have
- Startup or founding-team experience; opening locations or running ops
- Worked closely with engineering / product before, or built things yourself
- Healthcare, clinic, hospitality, or retail-ops background
- A feel for brand, content, and social
Why this role
You'll work directly with the founder, own real outcomes from day one, and touch every part of building a company from zero. As Layers grows, this role grows with it.
