About the Growth Development team

The Growth Development team sits at the intersection of Growth and Sales, helping turn awareness into high-quality commercial conversations across hx’s US target account list. Our go-to-market approach is presence-first: we build familiarity before we ask for meetings.

Working closely with the US Sales Pod and Growth team, we use events, account-based marketing, content, campaigns, and targeted sales plays to make hx impossible to ignore across the accounts that matter most. From there, we turn engagement signals into timely, relevant outreach that earns attention for the right reasons.

As a Growth Development Representative, you will work side by side with Account Executives (AEs), Growth, Marketing, Events, and GTM Ops to activate named accounts, identify the right personas, and develop Champions and Coaches inside target accounts. You will use signals such as event attendance, content engagement, ABM campaign activity, executive job changes, and inbound interest to create thoughtful outreach that moves accounts from Target to Aware, Warm, Sales Engaged, and into New Champion Meetings.

This is not a volume-first outbound role. Success comes from strong judgement, sharp research, fast follow-up, and thoughtful execution. This role will be central to shaping our US go-to-market approach as hx continues to expand in North America, with the opportunity to grow towards either a sales-focused Account Executive path or a Growth Marketing-focused path over time.

What you will be doing

  • Own a named set of US target accounts, working closely with AEs and Growth to understand account context, priority personas, engagement signals, and the right next action.

  • Develop early-stage opportunities by researching target accounts, identifying relevant triggers, and creating thoughtful outreach that resonates with senior stakeholders.

  • Turn engagement signals into timely, relevant outreach, including event attendance, content engagement, ABM campaign activity, executive job changes, and inbound interest where relevant.

  • Partner with AEs to map buying groups, multi-thread across actuarial, underwriting, pricing, IT, operations, and executive stakeholders, and create high-quality New Champion Meetings.

  • Execute repeatable Growth plays, including event follow-up, executive job change outreach, ABM sequence response, and dormant Champion reactivation.

  • Maintain high-quality data in Salesforce, share concise account briefs where useful, and feed learnings back into Growth, Marketing, Sales, and RevOps to improve how we execute.

What you will need to have done

  • Built experience in a BDR, SDR, GDR, or similar commercial role, ideally in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, or another complex sales environment.

  • Developed account-based, research-led outreach where quality of message, timing, and target selection mattered more than pure activity volume.

  • Communicated clearly across written and verbal channels, adapting your style to different audiences and engaging people with intent.

  • Worked closely with AEs or senior sales stakeholders, showing you can build trust, share useful insight, and support high-quality meeting creation.

  • Used data, signals, or feedback to improve how you work, refine your judgement, and strengthen the impact you have on a team.

  • Managed your time and work with discipline, staying organised, following through on commitments, and keeping systems and account information up to date.

You are unlikely to thrive here if

  • You prefer a volume-first approach to outreach rather than thoughtful, signal-led engagement that requires research, context, and clear hypotheses.

  • You struggle with structure, data hygiene, or cross-functional collaboration, or do not enjoy working closely with AEs, Growth, Marketing, Events, and RevOps to co-own outcomes.

  • You are hesitant to test, learn, and iterate based on metrics, or are uncomfortable working into complex accounts with multiple senior stakeholders.

Compensation

Base Salary: $60,000 – $70,000
Performance Based Variable: $18,000 – $21,000
Total OTE: $78,000 – $91,000

Equity: We offer equity across all roles at hx, making it a meaningful component of total compensation. Your talent partner will share additional details.

The posted range represents typical compensation for this role. Actual compensation is determined using a range of factors including market data, experience, and qualifications.
